I'm going to guess that Brinnie will just outright confuse Annie for Surma. And then do a double take when she realizes that there are two Surmas.

I seriously doubt we'll find out but I can't help but wonder what her opinion of Wagner actually is? "Wagner? I liked a Danish techno/trance remix, that I saw on Eurovision once... Even though Valhalla still isn't allowed to submit performers." *shakes gauntlet*

I think that's leather body armor? So cool. I know this is a weird thing to point out, but as a woman of a similar shape: love her womanly hips. She definitely rides horses and uses her leg muscles. It's also interesting that Brinnie never looked fully Germanic or Scandinavian –– her skin tone is just a tiny tad darker, and when she was younger she had almost south-eastern-European/Anatolian/Persian eyes. I wonder whether this is a nod to the versions of the Brynhild stories that show her as related to the Huns? She could look a little Hungarian or Romanian. Maybe she's inspired by tales of Sarmatian women warriors who themselves inspired stories of Amazonians. In any case! She didn't look stereotypically German or Norse as a child!

I guess everybody standing up was just out of respect. Or it's because the FZZZAK made the chair and sofa disappear. That’s the deal: one Valkyrie in exchange for all of your living room furniture.

Valkyrie Regulation #16A: All Valkyries must make sufficiently impressive entrances when summoned. Or after the first bath time summoning there was enough of shouting that their Old Man personally made sure every single Valkyrie knows the proper runes for marking a parade uniform to instantly put on in case of being summoned, ever after.

And it reminds me of this this image burned into her mind so much she added it to her god form

They must have some good shipwrights, at least. But then, in an enormous drinking-and-brawling hall demand for replacement is likely to exceed the local supply. :]

I'm going to guess that Brinnie will just outright confuse Annie for Surma. And then do a double take when she realizes that there are two Surmas. Brinnie knows Surma isn't 14 anymore. She probably was there when Surma aged past 14. She might go on a typical "you look so much like your mother" speech, and she might be surprised and sad to find Surma had a child and died. But there's no reason for her to think Annie is Surma.

(Possibly explained by the fact that mythical dog creatures aren't that good with human things. Interestingly, Coyote did notice that Annie was younger, but still thought she was Surma.)

But Brinnie has lived in the Court. She understands better how humans work and Surma was a close friend (not someone who visited for diplomatic relations, but someone she had lunch and maths exams with). I think she'll tell her friend from her teenage daughter apart. I wonder what she'll think of the time displacement, though. Like, will she look at the Annies and think "this girl is dead"?

(Why didn't it save it, ugh. Runningflame said, Interestingly, Coyote did notice that Annie was younger, but still thought she was Surma.) That... is an important thing to say, given the current timey-wimey shenanigans, and the fact that we know Coyote knew about her lineage and the implications thereof.

Quick theory: Brinnie left the Court before Anthony and Surma became a thing, thus we might be in for a near repeat of this scene. Another question is whether she will manifest the same sort of hang-ups as Eglamore used to have. Though unlikely IMHO.

Annie had already fallen from the bridge at this point. It's possible he saw she was "time displaced" at the time, and assumed she was a Surma from the past. Then again, given HE can manipulate time at will, maybe to him it is so easily bent that a younger Surma wasn't unlikely in any way even without additional information.

Also don't forget that Renard was in a gigantic Orjak's body, all humans must have looked small to him - the difference between a child and an adult human might not have been that obvious to him from an Orjak's perspective.
