Anja is taking this extremely chill. Curious to how many time shenangians are playing in this story if this is true.

We're all traveling through time at a rate of one second per second, after all.

That's not the answer I expected, and now I have SO MANY questions.

Anja: I should show you the essays I've done on the BTTF trilogy and Bill & Ted films alone.

Maybe it was not Kat, but if time travel is easy like Anja says, someone could have sent Jones to the beginning of earth's existence. And of course, as is par the course for GKC, another question arises then: why would someone send a being like Jones so far in the past?

Gunnerkrigg Court is a ridiculous comic. I love it dearly.

ANJA: "You see, daughter, a long time ago, I had a great adventure with my childhood friend Crono and a princess named Marle. Together we stopped the world from being destroyed by Lavos in the year 1999..."

And of course, as is par the course for GKC, another question arises then: why would someone send a being like Jones so far in the past? To observe. Edit, actually, this opens up some of the 'Jones knows more than she is letting on' speculation. IF she was a being or a creation of some sort sent back in time to the beginning of the Earth's existence, the phrase " I am aware of nothing before that moment" could take on an alternate meaning.

I love the recurring theme in this comic of adults actually knowing stuff.

Very simple! It's just a big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff.

Very simple! It's just a big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff. It gets easier when you realize time loops back around and resembles the name “Jeremy Bearimy” in cursive (the “i”, of course, representing Tuesdays and July).

I'm guessing there are either very strict limitations or Anja has been keeping this a secret; because I sure know someone who would have been willing to give time travel a try if he had known.

Fully Underrated Complete.... Kurveball? What the hell just happened, time travel is EASY? Why didn't you say so WHEN ANNIE FELL OF THE BRIDGE, ANJA!?
Breathe in, breathe out...
I guess now we'll learn about the restrictions that are in place, like, you need to know exact location of things, so as not to end up inside walls or people, you can't touch yourself (hehe), and so on, and so on.

"Oh, time travel. I did something similar to collect video footage for Doctor Disaster's simulations. Next time, young lady, make sure nobody sees your camera." "By the way, here's the formula the tic toc gave us before it left."

Since time travel is not hard and there's still only 1 time line there's plenty of room to do time things and it will still collapse into 1 timeline outside of anyone with godhood powers

Could be Coyote to get her away from interfering with his plan. Move her back then and devour all her memories of the time. Now he knows every second she existed before and knowing he'll run into her again

I dunno, I feel like Anya is just saying that to get Kat to react strongly that is difficult/impossible, so that Kat does it to prove how difficult it is, or something like that. 🤔

There's something about Anja's formulation though, with the use of both "really" and "very". I'm expecting only one of those to go when she goes on. "time travel is not really very difficult; it is just difficult really"

Please don't tell them that Kat ALSO told Anja in the past how to travel through time so she will tell Kat now and... I'm guessing there are either very strict limitations or Anja has been keeping this a secret; because I sure know someone who would have been willing to give time travel a try if he had known. Most probable is: you can't change anything because your trip to the past has always been part of what happened.

Fully Underrated Complete.... Kurveball? What the hell just happened, time travel is EASY? Why didn't you say so WHEN ANNIE FELL OF THE BRIDGE, ANJA!? I imagine this will be the sort of time travel where anything you go back and change has already happened. We already know the Tic Tocs have gone back in time to do stuff. However if you see someone die, they are still dead and you can't go back in time to fix it as if you tried then you have obviously already failed. Also I am going to guess it is a one-way thing? As in you can send something back in time, but once it is there you can't send it forward again except at the normal rate? Which prevents people zipping back and forth, but maybe is possible with robots like the Tic Tocs? I'm really intrigued to see where this goes and what sort of time travel we are dealing with here I love the recurring theme in this comic of adults actually knowing stuff. It's almost as if adults who are also geniuses can help their child genius with doing even more genius stuff, instead of inhibiting them for pointless story reasons!

Welp, just draw the magic circle closed, turn around twice, touch your toes, wave your magic ether rune wand, and send the Annies who knows when. Problem, uh, solved!
