Well, this is it. Another closure of medium-level thread: It is a classic, where the overly-obsessed ex/friend gets some and suddenly decides that all is well in the Universe. If it is then this may be more than a romp. I'd assume Eggers would have had a hookup or two post-Surma even in the small dating circle that would exist in the Court (and whatever he had access to while traveling or training). |

I feel like I missed a development at some point. So is he and Jones done? Is it that Jones doesn't care and that was always their deal? Did Jones ever come back from space even? Jones came back from space here. The last time we saw here was looking very dishevelled after a high speed re-entry into the atmosphere. We haven't seen how the 6 months away has affected her and Eglamore's relationship though. I think their relationship has never been a romantic thing, when we saw Jones' past, her relationships with people were always of the observer role, being a partner to someone without any romantic connotations to it. I don't think Jones would really care that much whether Eglamore had a romantic partner or not, however I imagine that her presence would be very off-putting to any actual potential partners, and certainly is one of the things that annoyed Surma and one of the reasons why she left Eglamore to be with Tony. Well, if Jones had left the room, and stopped taking unnecessary notes, Surma and other girlfriends may have had an easier time of it. Though, I'm betting any Jones advice (or/and diagrams) might've be helpful. That was a joke, but what if next week, we find Jones is actually there? |

This is now, easily, in my top three favorite things that has happened in GC. What are the other two? Probably King Robot drawing his own face (that whole sequence... I bought the whiteboard), and it ACTUALLY turning out that Aliyu would be friends with Red again when her hair went up. Also! The entirety of Mort's farewell chapter (learning about the ROTD, Kat's POV, the ROTD discussion, Mort's leaving...) ... I even really enjoyed when Ys lost it and Eggers had to come rescue Annie out of the forest, just because of the sheer amount of tension and drama. And all the shit that went down in Spring Heeled 2 (I think that's roughly around the time I started reading, so it's probably nostalgia). And also Annie/Jack's come-to-jesus moment in Faraway Morning after that. There are so many, though. I just know this moment is in top three right now.  Might make a good thread topic, though! |
