"THIS is your new mind."
"Oh... It's... so empty."
"This is your new mind on bucket. Any questions?"

This is all very well and copacetic, but where is Robbie? For ages, there's only been room enough for one borderline evangelist/forerunner in this outfit, and I'm not sure if it's the lack of melatonin or this fetching tinfoil balaclava, but I'm squinting real hard at this new kid.

Hey guys, look, she's giving him an ocean, who saw THAT coming?!

"It may be empty, but it is full of potential!"
I am wondering why there is so much difference between the size of the two minds. I guess registering this with all the synapses and sensations requires a large equipment indeed. But that is for the body. I wonder if there are also mental differences. Also looking very probable that the Guide is either our Robot or another bot. I kinda love the possibility that we were already introduced to a Bot that already choose their body (I assume that is what is being represented if that is the case) without realizing that is what we were looking at.

This is what I was getting at it in my post! Not to mention, it's Robbie who says (after being inducted to the world of the biologic via fleshy arm): " It {sensation, specifically of pain} floods my mind. Washes over me. ... I can no easier hold back these feelings than I could the ocean." At that time, Robbie "saw a glimpse of what was to come for us" - which is what we're witnessing. Same use of "us", same saintly/religious tones, and, oh look, an ocean of new being. I'm keeping the tinfoil on until Tom shreds it, as he must with all things we hold dear.

My goodness, that second to last panel. The water is *beautiful*.

Go for a swim, Pipes. The water's... existential?... complicated?... nuttier than a squirrel trapped in a peanut butter jar?...
I don't know if Tom meant it this way, but I saw it as the ocean rising out of the ground. The highest waves randomly poking through first, as the whole ocean phased through the ground. As if, it was right underneath the surface, the whole time. Awesome scene in my head. Waiting for Monday, and the answer to his question. It could be Robot, or we might get an odd answer and more questions.

The Not An Angel probably is Robot, or at least a Robot-controlled puppet, in whatever this virtual reality holodeck simulation is.
Kat: "Robot, stop messing with their fragile minds."
"Sorry."

My goodness, that second to last panel. The water is *beautiful*. Agreed. And its sort of oozing into the scene like the ashray did... nice effect.

Hmm, the water seeping through the ground may be something specific to this particular robot's perception. As in, it used to maintain water pipes, which are clearly still very much on his mind - and which constrain water, just like the bucket constrained his own mind. He may have never seriously pondered what being free means, but he must know a lot about fluid dynamics simply because that's what his job called for. So now he represents to himself this unfamiliar concept of freedom by analogy to what water would do when freed from any constraints. If Bobby was freed, the place might have instead been overrun by mice. And I dare you to think what would happen if Boxbot was freed.

I'll just make my guess now, as I see others speculating that this guide figure is a representation of Robot. I think it's Sky Watcher. The sky in this scene looks very much like the sky in Sky Watcher's chapter, this guide is the highest up thing in this metaphorical place, there's a theme of looking around and observing moisture... I'm probably wrong, but I want to put my guess in just in case.

This page makes me suspect that our new friend here is one of the ancestor robots/golems that Kat just revived.
