If anyone was going to take 2 Annies in stride, it'd have to be Zimmy.

And so the Fire Head Girl told Zimmy lovely stories about how devious Loup is... But what was the dark plot point this chapter has been leading to? Now we shall find out...

It was hard to see the last two pages, but yeah, Gamma definitely looks a lot worse for wear here.

She does look a little tired indeed. But two Annies should be able to replace her for quite some time.

I'm loving how decent, caring, attentive,... Zimmy is being, while at the same time retaining her creepy, nonchalant air!

Is sleeping on a flight of stairs Gamma's other power? Is it specific, like stairsleeping only, or is she able to sleep anywhere? Can she sleep on a fire-escape ladder with a passing dubstep parade during earthquake and still be well slept?
Questions are stacking!

Sleeping on a stair is surprisingly comfortable.
...also, that last panel is wonderful.

I wonder if they're in danger of breaking curfew if this storytelling time goes on for a while.
Which leads to another thought: How would the headcrabbed patrol bots deal with zimmy? Perhaps they have standing instructions to leave her alone?

Can she sleep on a fire-escape ladder with a passing dubstep parade during earthquake and still be well slept? Questions are stacking! Stairsleeping is a minor power only. Even us mere mortals already have a potential for it within us. To unlock it, we only need to imbibe a sufficient amount of ethanol solution. But be warned, excessive intake is counterproductive in several ways: it makes it difficult to identify stairs or to navigate towards already identified stairs, and an overdose may cause one to fall asleep on an object which is not a flight of stairs.

Zimmy is being, while at the same time retaining her creepy, nonchalant air! yeah, its unusual for Zimms to be so interested in the goings on of others (outside of Gamma) unless she is almost forced to (eg, by Gamma into helping Annie in Divine). This is a new side of the Zimmster....

People in a story actually sharing information with each other. Just another reason to love GKC

This is a new side of the Zimmster.... It is, yes. Just for that reason, today's page seemed rather... underwhelming to me on a first view. I doubt Zimmy is just a deus ex machina mechanism to give Annies some rest from Paz's accusations, and I hoped her reasons for showing up would be revealed. Did Gamma simply need some proper sleep? Is the arrival of the elves upsetting her? Does Kat's work have some side effect on her? We'll have to wait and see. Whatever it is, it can't be that important if they have time to chat.

Perhaps they have standing instructions to leave her alone? That would imply a level of bureaucratic competence which I really would not take for granted when it comes to the Court. Although, it has been six months, which I guess might be enough time for her & Gamma to have a few close calls with the patrol bots (I can only imagine what they would look like to her Nightmare Vision), go yell at some of those people who call her in for tests every so often, and then maybe eventually for the Court to install a new protocol in the headcrabs.

The Court does deliberately withhold surveillance from Zimmy. I would not put it past them to include a general If subject == Students.Chester.Zeta { subject.ignore; } directive into their programs. (I would also not put it past them to have a special way of tracking her, which does not upset her. There has to be some reason she was invited to the Court after all.)

Ever since the possibility of alternate universes was introduced, I've been waiting for things or people to be different. (Waste of a perfectly good alternate reality otherwise...) Zimmy is acting just friendly enough to make me wonder. Or maybe, you know, character development or some nonsense.

Seems to me like Zimmy is only talking to ForestAnnie. In fact, when she asks "What's all this about," she's pointing to CourtAnnie as if she's the odd thing to be explained.
Is this evidence that Zimmy sees fAnnie as the "real" one, or at least somehow "more real"? That seems a little odd. Maybe she can sense the six-month difference in their ages, but if so it would be cAnnie who was more properly a part of this timeline, whereas fAnnie would have been frozen for that period (from this timeline's perspective).
I'm still not sure I entirely believe Clippy's remark about neither Annie belonging here.

Other people and creatures have seemed to adress only Annie C., at least at first. I think we need not concern ourselves that much with every panel where it seems someone is speaking to one Annie only. Even if said person or creature does it deliberately it does not mean they know more than we do. If there is anyone who should be able to know more, it is Rey - and he says they are both real.
For Order of the Stick readers: It is like the thing with V's gender. No one knows it and no one will ever know, but everytime a character assumes V's gender in-story, someone on the forum makes a thread "IT'S BEEN REVEALED!"

Did anyone else do a Staind "Iiiit's been a while", on that first panel? That phrase may be wonderfully ruined for me, like "Who ya gonna call".
That last panel is very pleasant.

Zimmy does seem a lot more relaxed than she used to be. Of course the very first time we encountered her she also had a more relaxed attitude so it might just be that things have been going pretty well recently.
