What is happening right now??This doesn't feel ominous one bit, no maam edit: I feel like the fang on Kat's shirt is supposed to be symbolic of something, but I can't figure out what.

Classic fake-out.
I was hoping we'd have a few pages of montage debunking all the standard hollywood magical clone tropes though.
Edit: Calling it now: There's going to be a heap of etheric and mechanical humming noises before whatever they have planned begins and at the end it turns out they're all just noises and it was a psychological test.
Also goddammit Paz why are you still so sullen? F!Annie hasn't done anything yet...

"You'll stay in this locked bunker until you learn to get along with each other." Locking mechanism is on the inside... (off topic: Page made me think of Vetinari's advise to tyrants)

Nearly every picture of Courtnie shows her nose looking sharper and her face seeming less round than Frannie's, and I'm still trying to figure out if it's just a stylistic choice to highlight her sharp attitude or if she's supposed to look older due to a six month difference.
Also guessing this is a fireproof bunker + somewhere they'll be forced to talk out their differences. Would be great to see both of them in etheric form all the way.

Welcome to Kat's Friend Fusion Chamber. Yeah, it started out as a teleportation device and the experiment with Mr. Brundle and a fly didn't turn out so well, but it should work for you. Absolutely. 100%. We think. What could possibly go wrong?
OK, I'll be leaving now. Relax, and in a few minutes you will feel more, let's say, wholesome.

Also goddammit Paz why are you still so sullen? F!Annie hasn't done anything yet... Maybe she knows the test the Annies are going to be subjected to and she doesn't like it one bit.
For Kat, this could be an excellent opportunity to do something useful with Diego's arrow, perhaps?

"You'll stay in this locked bunker until you learn to get along with each other." Bottle episode with the two Annies time!

I can't interpret the characters facial expressions on that page. The fact that Parley takes them there without any warning or explanation would make me guess that the Annies wouldn't go there willingly, but Kat doesn't seem tense. Also Parley seems quite happy with the situation. Winsbury looks winsburish, but I don't understand what's happening to Paz. "You'll stay in this locked bunker until you learn to get along with each other." Bottle episode with the two Annies time! I had to google that (it's a low budget episode with limited cast and locations), because I only managed to interpret it as "Spin the bottle session", which seems very unlikely in this situation. Nearly every picture of Courtnie shows her nose looking sharper and her face seeming less round than Frannie's, and I'm still trying to figure out if it's just a stylistic choice to highlight her sharp attitude or if she's supposed to look older due to a six month difference. I also saw that, but have no idea how to interpret it.

My death match theory is starting to look surprisingly plausible.

Parley: This here is what we call a thunderdome, or maybe it's a "firedome" in your case, haha! Anyway, the door will open when one of you is dead. Nailed bats are over there, and I think we had a chainsaw laying around somewhere. Good luck! ~bip~

Parley seems too happy/pleased for this to be some sort of set-up for a death-match. I think its meant as an opportunity for the two Annie's to reconcile. Perhaps by working together to figure out a way out and/or a way back from where they've been bipped to? Kat looks adorably ... hmmm... sheepish? Since she probably planned this whole scenario, she's probably feeling a bit guilty that she has to force the Annie's into this, and/or a bit worried how it will work out. I think Paz just doesnt trust Frannie and is giving her the evil eye. Winsbury looks a bit concerned ...

...or if she's supposed to look older due to a six month difference. I think time passed equally for both of then, otherwise Fannie's hair would be short.

I dont think a death match is a viable option. If both Annies are real (as in, split into two timelines that now merged again, leaving us with both copies), there is very little sense in killing one off. Nor would it prove anything. Trial by combat is so barbaric.

Hmm, I suspected that Kat's etheric computer would be involved, but since she hasn't bipped along, I guess not.

@corvo It makes me so happy that someone else's brain went to the same place mine did. I dont think a death match is a viable option. If both Annies are real (as in, split into two timelines that now merged again, leaving us with both copies), there is very little sense in killing one off. Nor would it prove anything. Trial by combat is so barbaric. Look, we're going to solve this "to many Annies" problem one way or another. Now you can keep raining on our parade, or you can get with the program and place your bets. Currently we have the odds at 2:1 for Court-Annie beating Forest-Annie (people think she has more of that killer instinct). 3:1 for some kind of friendship fusion. 6:1 for a scenario where one of them has to sacrifice their life to save the other. and 50:1 for them making out.

This situation raises an interesting question, maybe it has been discussed before here, not following the forum much.
Apparently, Surma passes away because her fire burns in Antimony too, and there is not enough fuel for both of them. We have seen court!Annie roast a woodwolf. What about forest!Annie? Can she do fire stuff? At the same time? Do they share a tank?

Look, we're going to solve this "to many Annies" problem one way or another. Now you can keep raining on our parade, or you can get with the program and place your bets. Currently we have the odds at 2:1 for Court-Annie beating Forest-Annie (people think she has more of that killer instinct). 3:1 for some kind of friend-shop fusion. 6:1 for a scenario where one of them has to sacrifice their life to save the other. and 50:1 for them making out.
Annie (any of the two) is quite a bit on the logical side - with sudden bursts of emotion of course. My bet is on the fusion, but it probably cant be achieved in the warehouse they are in right now. It could however be planned there. My guess is that the warehouse is "save" from any loup inference (how they managed that, I do not know. Probably something Kat did). They find some quirky plan to trick Loup (which is hard) and trick the trickster to merge them together, and stop his nonsense for now. Maybe he even splits back into his former parts while merging the Annies.
Might involve tricking Loup with one Annie offering to sacrifice herself. Loup kind of likes her still, and have one less of her is probably not in his intention. So much for the 6:1 bet.
Them making out would probably please Reynard (if he got Bip'ed there too), but the comic does hardly revolve around what Reynard would like. Which is probably why the thoughtbubble was empty, because I think exactly that was in the bubble

Can she do fire stuff? At the same time? Do they share a tank? I'd go with yes, F!Annie can control fire, given her outburst back in the forest. I imagine this split is more similar to Annie's self-imposed division back in Annie and the Fire; those entities were able to operate independently, but they still were connected and coming from the same power source (aka her fire elemental self). Loup just had a little more finesse when it came to how exactly to divide her up.

Hm. The probability that madjack is right have slightly risen. Somethingawful has decided "HER" is a stealth acronym for some shady Court department. "Human Experimentation and Research" would fit perfectly.....

I dunno guys, is locking two people in a bunker really the best way to force them to get along? I think probably that Kat & Co. are running some tests and/or observation to try to determine further whether they are each real (how old are their cells?) or whether either of them are dangerous or being manipulated by Loup, before trying any further shenanigans to thwart Loup. It may involve wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey things. Or perhaps the promise of cake?
Fannie came back saying she had to get Loup's presents back. Loup attacked the Court and destroyed multiple buildings. I wouldn't be so incautious if I were them; and I'm sure some of what they're about to do is Court-sanctioned. Andrew is still the Court medium, and Parley is the protector. I don't know what Winsbury and Paz et al are doing there, except perhaps acting as moral support: Annie is their friend and this is a bizarro situation.
But that's just my guess. I am a little sad Parley wasn't there to yell "Happy Birthday".
