Looking back at the page in question, it looks like the blade is cutty-side-up. It's also giggling though. Looking at it from a statistical standpoint the blade falling that exact way would be quite a freak accident (Mighty Eyebrows Boy is present though), so it isn't unreasonable to assume that the blade did whatever it thought would be the most amusing at the time (since it's Coyote's tooth, and that's what Coyote himself tends to do). Basically what Runningflame said. Probably also worth noting that the tooth came from the being that created the shadow people. If it could "cut the very earth," it could probably also un-create a living shadow if it was made to. (One more note, I think Eglamore's sword had only an indirect part in killing the shadow that possessed S13. In an environment already inundated with light, what's the difference of one more light source? The shadow was anchoring part of itself from the bridge's lights in the shadows cast by the robot's feet, and the impact from the sword lifted the robot off of the ground, leaving the shadow to dissolve away under the lights. Friendly Shadow needed something solid to escort him over the bridge for the same reason, sword or no sword) wow, you're right! It is cutting side up, so that more strongly argues that the blade "which can cut the very Earth" chose not to cut Shadow 2. And I like the idea that the blade might have done it as a joke as well, and not just because Coyote didn't want to (indirectly) kill his creations.

I thought I'd seen Antimony use her fire as a ranged attack before but couldn't remember where. Finally found it. Also here. She destroyed the beacons remotely too.

We probably shouldn't think too hard about it, though.

With light coming from all sides, not much lifting up might be needed for the robot's shadow to completely dissolve. There are two kinds of shadow. The umbra is the area where all significant light sources are blocked. The penumbra is the area where only some significant light sources (or only part of one massive light source) are blocked. The penumbra is visibly darker than surrounding fully-lit areas, but the umbra is darker yet. (With many light sources, such as on the bridge, I suppose there could also be multiple degrees of penumbra.) Now, how intense a shadow do the shadowmen need?
