But Coyote couldn't create life from nothing,? I beg to differ, unless the myths says otherwise. Coyote himself says otherwise. He can't create life from nothing, emphasis on the from nothing part. The comic you link to appears to show him creating proto-Shadow Men from his own body. We know what happened to them once he lost interest in that particular project. Coyote could have created an Antimony-clone from his own form; "Loup" probably could have done so if his level of control was up to the task but that may have ramifications down the line. At best, once "Loup" decides the need for the clone is past she'll likely be unable to retain her current shape. "Loup" is unstable; Annie II may also suffer from that instability physically or mentally. If "Loup" wasn't up to even attempting the the task, he may have used a shortcut through remodeling an existing life form or he may have recruited a creature who could either shape-shift or similarly trick humans but I would think that "Loup" would want to show off his powers so he would prefer to do something himself, even if some of those powers are rough around the edges.

Maybe this girl is Antimony's real body, and the one who was in forest was just her etheric projection? Loup could give the real body an autonomous mind, and produce a new body for the etheric projections...
Or, since Loup can manipulate both time and memories, all Loup would had to do was to have his talk with Antimony, return her, then, next time she talks to him he sends back in time with altered memories in an stable time loop...

Multiple personality disorder* was often caused by severe childhood trauma.
*now called dissociative identity disorder, btw.

Well at least it's attributed to Loup rather than it being the cause of a long dead character who's resurrected cause of the story going out of control for 2 years figuring out who's who.
Alternatively, besides my thinking of the Spider-Man Clone Saga I'm amused of Annie 2 showing up cause of a similar bit for the storyline segments of Atop the 4th Wall from the Mr. T and the T Force #4 review episode to the review of Hellraiser III #1.

How about this? Anthony and Kat replicated the body of Antimony, and Reynardine took it over to animate it. Because otherwise questions would be asked for which there would be no answers.

I can top that. "Loup's" trick was just an illusion of Antimony getting killed one way or another so the Court would stop searching for her. As a living memorial for his departed "mommy" and a sop for bereaved Kat and Anthony, Robot asked Kat to model his new flesh body on Antimony. For some reason Shadow II approved of the idea wholeheartedly, was later observed muttering "it was worth it" to himself. Eglamore remains conflicted.

I'll swap a bottle of what I'm drinking for a bottle of what you're drinking.

I have to admit, it still makes me wonder what Loup was thinking, sending Annie back to the Court on that errand, even though he'd already placed a duplicate there, which would raise many awkward questions that would hinder her retrieving the objects he wanted. (I still like the notion, though, that Loup didn't think all that through - that he's a mere echo of Coyote as Trickster, without the skill and care that Coyote would have devoted to his big schemes.)

Based on what we've seen of him so far, the question is not "what was Loup thinking?" - rather, it's "was Loup thinking?".

Exactly what I meant: DAnnie was created specifically to answer Tea's questions. No, not likely! Annie2 is wearing make-up and shorter hair. Question-answering Annie is not and has longer hair. I really suspect Annie and Annie2 have slightly differing personalities.
