Anybody else spot a certain similarity between Seraph's (as I'm going to call him from now on, since it's much more dignifying and fitting for his current form than "Robot") moves and those of a certain lady who doesn't need swords and who has been suspected of being a robot?
Might she have trained with robots? What if she was raised by robots?
Interesting reactions by the girls, though, very typical: Neither is phazed at all, Kat probably because it's "just a robot" and as such much more faszination than potentially dangerous and Annie is just way too unprejudiced and positive-thinking to expect something bad. Every normal person would probably run in terror when they saw that thing coming out of the shadows!

Interesting. That big thing may look like a bull, but it's attacking with its arms, not its "head".
Good call on S1's dodging -- that really is quite Jones-ian.

Well...I wouldn't call it Jones-ian. It's really just a dodge, which any total badass could pull off. I see no real relationship between the two; S1 has something of a fencer's stance (not to mention a sword in hand) and looks like he just slipped to the side, while Jones's dodges were much more martial arts-esque.
That said, Seraph 1 is a CHAMPION.

This situation looks like a theatrical production to me, like we just jumped into the middle of a play or opera.

This situation looks like a theatrical production to me This makes the most sense to me, as I don't see how S1 affected the bullbot - i.e. it looks like he didn't hit him with the sword, and just standing in his way wouldn't be much of an obstacle...

Well, he's acting like a matador. For most of the bullfight, matador's simply avoid the bull while looking good and flashy.

The point of bull fighting is to toy with the bull, making it perform certain moves and do certain poses before killing it with one single, precise stab. Death should be swift and merciful, but what leads up to it certainly isn't. Seraph doged the "bull" once, killing it now would be way too early.

What little knowledge I have about it comes from a CSI episode, so you're probably right.

ahhhh, I want white flag for it!!!!! (people use white hankies to ask to save the bull's life, when it has been a good one)
Hankie? is that for handkerchief.... has my english deserted me?
on a side note, I don't like bull fighting... even if the bull is a sentient robot

Just noticed this addition to the front page... What the...? Err, not trying to offend anyone, but... do people really have problems following this page? O.o

I know! How is that page hard to follow? I understood it first time through. I loved Robot's pose at the end.

The first four panels are not hard to follow, but the last two are difficult. The tricky part, which didn't fall into place for me until the explanation, is that we change perspective by 90 degrees between them so that we're first seeing the bullbot come towards us, then slide past us to the left. First time around I also missed the dust around Robot's feet in panel 5 that indicates he's sidestepped and is not just lifting his arm. I don't feel particularly silly for having done so. I couldn't tell from which direction we were watching panel 6 at all. Now I see it (the lines in the background flowing with the sword can be taken to signify sideways motion), but without the explanation I would've been wondering still. My best guess, in fact, was that we had rotated 180 degrees from panel 5 and were seeing Robot looking in the same direction he started out, with the bullbot collapsing head over feet in the background after overshooting its target.
The need of some people in the comments box to shout down the confused people after Tom posted his clarification saddens me.

I found the page wasn't immediately obvious, but it certainly wasn't "impossible to follow". I was able to reread the last few panels and figure out what was happening on my own.

Is it just me or does the bullbot (as you guys are calling it) look just like crying wolf from metal gear solid 4. Because to me, the resemblance is too close to be coincidence. And I'm not trying to be negative or anything about this, cause any reference to metal gear is awesome.

Maybe it looks like it (unfortunately never played MGS), but that would be a coincidence, as the game was released from less than 3 months.
