Counter-intuitive as it may seem, particularly in hindsight, Antimony probably thought she wouldn't need the beacon since she was going to meet both Ysengrin and Coyote.

I am quite pleased with this plan: bureaucracy is just what you need in an emergency!

I bet this is all a set up for a mirror with that Bravest Warriors scene in which Catbug teleports, are being chased by the Aeon Worm and asks "Why are we running?"

So uhm, while it might not be so safe to let her body idle around, wouldn't it be quicker for Annie to go ether-mode and break that beacon? Or is she just as 'slow' in the ether? . Or too riled up to focus. Hmm.

We haven't seen much into the ether recently. It would have been interesting to see what Ysenyote now looks like there.

It might actually be dangerous (as compared to the usual) to go into the ether while Ysengrim is rampaging.

Or too riled up to focus. Hmm. Elgamore (and Parley) would teleport to wherever the beacon is - which would be her room. She'd also be putting her body in danger, as she has to close her eyes and concentrate while she's doing it. Then a second teleport would be required to get back to the front Hall. But I suppose that would be faster than Annie (not the most athletic member of the cast) running all the way to the dorms.
