Annie. Annie you got something on your face there.
And, random thought considering Tony's leaving party: does Arthur count as a second "person" in Tony's mind to the point where he'd be stoic with him and another human? Where would the line be drawn for humanoid and/or sentient others?

So, Reynard didn't show up... so what was his part in all this???

So, Reynard didn't show up... so what was his part in all this??? The chapter isn't over yet, so I expect we will see shortly. He was probably setting up some sort of surprise party or raiding Tony's house.

Reynard was told to turn up when the coast was clear. Maybe that was now.
What *are* those snake eyes meant to represent? The closest I can think of is "Not a word."

Is Annie from Cardiff too now?

Is Annie from Cardiff too now? Dang, beat me to it. I think it's just a representation of her repressed excitement at her father's roundabout compliment/stoked that nothing went wrong. Also: Jeezuz!

Annie hears "We've all done good work" and her heart is secretly rejoicing I suppose? It makes me sad because that's how I would react when a boy I had a crush on would speak to me. I could tell he didn't REALLY know I existed but rejoiced at every small bit of attention anyway.

Yeah, I'm very afraid that "all" is perhaps "all the people I happen to be thinking of as those doing good work". You know, like the kind of guy who complains bitterly that "no women want to date me" when everyone knows there's a poor girl crushing on him, because to the jerk, "woman" means "arm candy". I want Tony to respect and love his daughter, but he's got to get to the point of realising she's a fellow human being first.

I feel like this is the first breath of joy and glimpse of the pre-Tony comic/Annie we've seen in a while. I'm happy for Annie that she's making slow, glacial, painstaking, very slow progress with her father, but I'm mostly happy for us. The comic's been overdue for some breeziness after spending so long trying to break Annie at every turn.

Reynard was told to turn up when the coast was clear. Maybe that was now. That was the impression that I had as well - that Reynardine was to come to Kat's workshop after Antony and the others had left. Maybe it was just too vaguely worded.

So that's what Annie looks like possessed by Bill Cipher.

So that's what Annie looks like possessed by Bill Cipher. I had a momentary thrill of fear before my brain went "Calm down, wrong series". It's such a simple illustrative move, yet so effective in conveying creep/'this is not normal' factor.

I'm guessing, this is Tony trying to praise his daughter, in the 'only?' way he can. But, yikes. It's like feeding a starving dog some scraps. I wonder, if there's some Etheric code, that would make Tony relax. Or would Annie head just explode? Tony: "Nice job, Annie. Up top! Hive five!..." *looks at ground* "... Oh. Oops. We should have made that left handed. My bad."

WHAT HAPPEN, Annie?
I genuinely can't tell if she's happy because her father wasn't actively a dick to her or upset that he ignored here the whole day. Or both.

I probably jumped a bunch of corners but I took Annie's face as "Aha! Now I'm gonna share all the proof I gathered today about how my dad's evil!". Why that was my first thought when everyone else's "He praised me!" makes more sense, I have no idea.

Ok, ok, so I'm sure this is some kind of heartwarming moment when the tension between Annie and her father has started to ease up, but SWEET UNHOLY FUCK THAT FACE WILL GIVE ME SO MANY NIGHTMARES Just for clarity's sake, I think that Anthony not excluding Antimony from his group praise is just the rare carrot in Anthony's carrot-and-stick affection-withholding parenting style. She was quiet and kept working, not causing any trouble, but Antimony was definitely a lesser partner in the technical stuff going on and Anthony made that clear. If there were NO rewards at all Antimony would rebel since she would have nothing to lose.
