Oh, Indeed, Anthony. Oh, Indeed.Tony's face looks weird on entrance. I'm sure it's just the angle, but it makes his nose so very much a prominent feature... and I'm not sure what his movements there are supposed to indicate.

TonyBot 3000: ACTIVATING MULTIPLE BYSTANDER PROTOCOLS. I'm sure it's just the angle, but it makes his nose so very much a prominent feature... well now. I suppose the Annie Nose had to come from somewhere... (never forget)

Seriously good plan Kat. An interaction in an environment like this could get Tony out of his shell around Annie at last. Or he could cause more damage by being a jerk about Annie's less impressive scientific prowess. Still, I like this part of the plan.

I predict that Tony, and maybe Annie too, will immediately slip into no-expression, and that Kat will have to do something (possibly zany) to make them stop.

TonyBot 3000: ACTIVATING MULTIPLE BYSTANDER PROTOCOLS. I imagined it more like the "bewwwwwwww" shutdown noise.

I think Kat should know by now that you can't force Tony out of his shell. My guess is that Kat is setting them up and will leave them alone doing work Tony is comfortable with. Probably hoping this will help Tony open up to Annie like he opened up to Surma in the jungle. Now I am really perplexed about Renard's afternoon appointment. Maybe this chapter will be a series of vignettes that only have Kat in common. Here we have Annie/Tony being set up by Kat. Maybe Robot and Paz will each get their own vignettes with Kat. Renard can act as bookends and close the chapter out. I WAS PROMISED KATURDAY, NOT ANNIEANDTONYDAY KATUR-day. K is for Kat, A is for Annie, T is for Tony, and R is for Renard (maybe Robot). U? Who the heck is U? And where is P? It isn't a proper Katurday without a P for Paz. Maybe Tom misppelled it and is should be Katpurday.

I could be wrong but it feels like Annie is "in on it" in this case. Hence the nervousness. I assume she's going to try to not be a weird robot about it. Will she be generally awkward though? Oh hell yes.

Like use green arrow soul technology to stick them both in the same patchwork flesh golem and drop them in a deathtrap-filled maze where they must solve puzzles by pooling their personal knowledge and histories? For like 45 minutes, then they have tea and continue with lab work in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Annie's yellow attire stands out in the blue laboratory. Nice contrast. And Kat is still wearing the overall she put on between the last two panels of last page. If he wrote Katpurday, people would read it as "cat purr"-day. Which sounds like the world's most adorable holiday.

So, what's Renard's part in this plan going to be? Is he going to stand at the exit and growl if Tony tries to run for it?

So, what's Renard's part in this plan going to be? Is he going to stand at the exit and growl if Tony tries to run for it? My theory is Rey will just casually appear right as Tony is ready/almost ready to leave. Rey will casually start talking to Kat/Annie, like freinds, and Tony will have to respond in some way, with that guy I'd guess curiosity or deep confusion. I doubt they are going attempt to intimidate Tony, seems counter productive.

Anyone else getting pretty goddamn tired of tippy-toeing around the fact that Tony acts like his daughter is contact poison? Everyone around him should be telling him that if he can't deal with the fact that Annie exists and is his responsibility, maybe he should put in for a brief vacation in a mental ward and a prescription for something to help him cope. "But that's Tony and he's just always been like that" is evidence of a shocking level of neglect by his friends and colleagues.
