UHHH Parley? I...wouldn't bring that back to the Court if I were you. Seems like it would be opening a can of worms coyote. Also, it's gross.

Gifts from Coyote! Nothing could possibly go wrong here!

Clearly trying to sneak across the bridge This is a good theory, but the questions are: 1) is this different from when he gifted Annie a part of himself? 2) if it is, why now? It doesn't look like something Jeanne could have prevented. 3) is there something he can do in the Court that he couldn't have done when he came there on official business (and wrecked some buildings)?

I know Coyote is almost omnipotent and thus can probably magic out anything, but a jar doesn't seem natural and a little odd to me.

The gift of a story about himself, is itself a gift of himself (since he's mostly just a story).
Also, the goose bone is himself too =) , just not as wet.

Wait a minute, why is the goose bone still a goose bone? Wasn't Coyote also the corpse? Shouldn't it be "made of Coyote" like whatever that's inside the bottle?

"Alice in Wonderland" was also a story. Does that bottle have a small label that says "Drink Me"?

Coyote migrating to the Court in easily affordable instalments. Careful resource management is the key to success.

"So, then we attached the tooth-sword to a motor and made a big glass jug for it, and with a lid made a Coyote-blender. Then we poured in the water and turned it on. I mean, we were expecting weirdness, but the mixture of shrieking agony and howling laughter was pretty unsettling."

There is absolutely no chance that taking these gifts back to the Court will end up being a horribly bad idea.

The water looks like Coyote. It is probably a distraction so Coyote's bone can get into some mischief.

I wonder if this might have something to do with the tooth-sword. I was kind of expecting that to be the linchpin in the fight against Jeanne, and it didn't even make an appearance, so now I'm awaiting the revelation of its true purpose. Wait a minute, why is the goose bone still a goose bone? Wasn't Coyote also the corpse? Shouldn't it be "made of Coyote" like whatever that's inside the bottle? It's just "a" goose bone, not necessarily the bone from the story.

Cause I'm pretty sure he's the Great Deceiver for some reason or another...

I'm not sure if Smitty's powers reach so far as to be able to control the mind or actions of Coyote... he seems to more be able to influence the probabilities of physical events/phenomena. (I don't think he can spontaneously change "Coyote byproducts" into something benign...) but what *does* happen when the "teen diplomat of order" grapples with the "god canine of chaos"?

Oh yes, both are most potent weapons, yes yes!
...but not extremely hygienic, hehehehe.
For I am the water, and I am the goose!
My blood and my bones - I'm sure the Court wants some.

Somehow I expect the water to be acidic enough to dissolve a whole building, like the alien's blood from the Alien movie.

Smitty is pretty powerful, but I don't think he would last long against a god. Coyote swims in the Ether, he probably is able to dispose of Smitty's fate strings more easily than Jeanne was. I'm also pretty sure Tom once said that Coyote would win, were he to fight Jones, who is an ancient immortal, indestructible being with unmeasurable physical strength, while Smitty is mortal and, as we have seen, can be killed by an (etheric) knife to the chest despite his powers. You just need to be quick enough and feint.

It's just "a" goose bone, not necessarily the bone from the story. It is enough that the bone came from Coyote. Add that it is the same kind of bone on the chapter's title page makes it more interesting. I contend however that Coyote should have given them a rag, a bone and a hank of hair. As for Smitty, Coyote could probably run circles around those threads.

The Court would really freak out if they knew those medium kids were dragging parts of Coyote back with them. Remember how they treated the fairy when she visited? The gang in the last panel would have a conniption.
