Eglamore isn't a fan of Tony Carver. In other news, water is wet. Is there anyone who's a fan of Annie's father, I wonder? Because that'd be a twist. Umm... does Annie count?

Kat's parents were friends with Tony, and Donny was the first person Tony trusted enough to open up to about his absence. Tony still has Mr. and Mrs. Donlan as friends, but his absence for 16ish years has definitely put a damper on that. He is a very lonely person right now, even if his actions are to blame for a lot of what has happened. I hope we can get more backstory, and maybe see him change for the better. Despite his unlikable nature in the present, I can't help but see him as one of the tragic characters in GKC. Donny yes, but I don't know if Anja sees Tony as anything more than the friend of her husband and an acquaintance. Maybe Surma hooked up with Tony sometime before they left the Court so there might have been a time when Anja also saw Tony as the boyfriend of her best friend.

Doesn't Parely remind you of someone now? I don't see a resemblance, but I don't know who that is. Eglamore isn't a fan of Tony Carver. In other news, water is wet. Is there anyone who's a fan of Annie's father, I wonder? Because that'd be a twist. Umm... does Annie count? Considering all the resentment Annie feels toward her father since he came back, I would not think she's exactly a fan of him, no. She's defended him a few times, halfheartedly -- "He must have had his reasons for abandoning me here at GC" -- but I think most of those occasions were before he came back. And even if some of them were after he came back, "halfhearted defense" does not equal "fandom" to me.

Doesn't Parely remind you of someone now? I don't see a resemblance, but I don't know who that is. It's less the appearance and more the fact that he is much stronger than he appears and is constantly breaking glasses of milk. If I were Smitty, I'd be slightly worried by panel 2. His probability powers probably made the glass shatter in such a way that it didn't hurt her, just based on his (probably) subconscious desire to keep her safe. Those powers are also probably why she's not breaking the new glass.

Could be worse, Parley. It could be spinach. Alchemy is hardcore like this. At first I didn't get the last sentence before I realized Annie changed her intended meaning partway through. It would look this way, but usually this is connected via something like "sure, whatever y- hey!" If I were Smitty, I'd be slightly worried by panel 2. He's still worried in 4th. I notice some of the commenters were wondering where Parley's second glass of prune juice came from -- the one she's drinking from in panel 6. She also holds it in the left hand. Probably it's just someone else's. Eglamore isn't a fan of Tony Carver. In other news, water is wet. Is there anyone who's a fan of Annie's father, I wonder? Because that'd be a twist. Umm... does Annie count? Nope. A compulsion or obsession, sure, but it's far from squeeing. She have to put too much effort into convincing herself all the time.
