Since the 2016 Hugo Nominations have now opened, I suppose I had better bump the potential Gunnerkrigg offering along... First, Tom Siddell, if you aren't comfortable with this idea, let me know and I will put an end to it. Second, while the clear winner for the last poll was for arc (Ch 51-55), I belatedly realised that I hadn't given an arc option that included Ch 50:Totem, which also polled fairly well on its own. My thinking, when creating the first poll, had been to exclude it since it wasn't really part of any arc. However, I have since come round to the view that a) it does introduce the Rabbit Boy, b) it shows how Annie was before she had the stuffing knocked out of her, c) first impressions matter and it has some wonderful artwork in the opening pages, d) it's the start of volume VI, and e)Lord Coyote would sulk. So, add your thoughts and votes (1 only) please. Have fun.

It is one of the best chapters, and not only because it includes My beautiful self! It also shows the beginnings of My zombie bunny army! Prepare yourselves for the fuzzy apocalypse. Coyote insists it be included, yes yes! *prancing*Hey, I look niiiiice in that picture...

Coyote insists it be included, yes yes! e) Lord Coyote would sulk It appears you were correct, haha! But I'm of split opinions here. It doesn't connect plot-wise extremely well, but it shows how independent and strong Annie was pre-Anthony to non-readers (in addition to the reasons you highlighted). I originally voted no, but I think I'm changing that vote to yes.

At this stage, it's looking like the arc with 'Totem' (and Lord Coyote) is a shoo-in.
In addition to the graphic story category, there is a category for artwork, as well. Is it worthwhile adding, say, treatise #6 (dang... just missed out the 2015 window), or the video showing the cover for 'Traveller' being made?
(This also serves as a little boost to get this post to the top again... ;-)

As voting has a) petered out, and b) has a pretty clear consensus, I have closed the poll.
Sorry, Cityface.
For the record, I have now nominated 'Gunnerkrigg Court: Ch 50-55' (ie 'Totem' - 'The Breakout') under the 'Graphic Story' section.
The way this works is that I may submit up to 5 (different!) nominations in each award category. This forms a standing set which I may change any time up to Mar 31. After that time, the ~5 most nominated entries are placed on the short list for the final ballot. As I stated earlier, it is considered something of an achievement to get that far.
If you wish to place your own vote (either to add to this one or include your own favourites), you may do so if you had membership to last year's con, or are willing to sign up for this year.
