It's as wild a hypothesis as any, but why else drag Tea back in at this point? [edit] Gripping hand: Tea is making the same gesture in the final panel of both pages. |

What about: The footsteps that go into the painting? The mysterious coprocessor chip? The falling drinking-glass? The cursed teapot? Artilleryman? Cityface II? JOKER: somehow Annie's pregnantWhatever it is, it must be within few chapters close, or else Tom wouldn't have pulled out this kind of tease. "Dis gon bi guud..." EDIT: I want to comment about the makeup. I think it was just to show that Annie didn't put it on right away, showing that she had finally let Kat inside her guards down no-secrets (except little home work copying) true friends zone. |

So now that we've seen the chapter and bonus page, the chapter title "The Break Out" could mean breaking out of...
- Narrative traditions
- The fourth wall
- Annie's story arc? Maybe this chapter is just misdirection to draw the reader's attention away from unanswered plot elements so the next chapter or two can be about something completely different.

I thought that thing might be important. I mean, why else would they keep panning to it during that big fight she had with Tony, or the jailbreak with Renard that she organized while she had her father distracted?
But man, with such an action packed chapter though, I can see why it was easy to miss.

Aha, that's exactly what he wants you to think! That way, when it shows up later, he can point back and say "I told you so". And another succumbs to the procrastination caused by Fallout 4. Can't tell if serious or not. In any case, Tom has at least a one month buffer of comics, queued up for release without any further input from him, so he can take small breaks without affecting the comic. It makes the comics that seem to be reactions to the reactions to the previous comic all the more impressive. |

Oh man I KNEW that floating question mark from before was gonna be a big deal! What about, it's literally just a floating question mark; could Tom play this clever? So could it be the " blasted omega device"? Or what ever " Oh, ahem..." means. gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1547Either this or that "you know, about Paz" -page. Further my memory doesn't reach. I have to say, Tom has hanged very few chekov's guns and even fewer have fired. And who would have though the homework was a one? I for sure passed it only as characterization. |
