I agree on the fencing for Annie... I also can picture her with scimitars. Can't quite say why....

I've been doing some thinking, and I was just wondering, how does Liechtenauer reflect Parley's personality, in your own opinion. For me, The "A-Ha" moment came when I was reading this wikipedia page. About 1/3 of the way down it reads: And I sit here thinking, "Huh. That is so Parley." So, for curiosity's sake, what is your personal interpretation of Parley's personality as it relates to Liechtenauer

Pretty much the same. Being the one in control means you take aggressive action; i.e. Lichtenauer is an active and aggressive style, which suits extravert Parley better than a style that's based waiting for your opponent to make a mistake.

As regards Annie and weaponry, I see her more as a Rogue type than the Fighter-ish Parley--the lockpicks, the sneaking about... Her weapons of choice would be the stealthy, from-afar types. A bow would be aceptable, but wouldn't a sling be the perfect thing?

All this talk of blades seems a bit out of Annie's character. The defining character of a bladed weapon is the fact that it can cut or pierce above all else. Sure, it can parry and block, but what makes it stand out is its ability to harm the opponent. I haven't seen Annie do anything but protect people/things. Meanwhile, the bow and dagger speak of distant or hidden attacks. She has always been upfront and straightforward with her adversaries so far, so we could rule out the assassin's weapons. I could see her with one of two weapons: the staff or the jutte (especially). Both require you to confront the enemy, but without the intention of killing them. The staff *could* kill someone, but that would require a decisive and very forceful attack (we'll see if she has that in her later on, I guess). The jutte, however, is meant specifically to either disarm an opponent or destroy the opponent's blade. So far, Annie's personality reflects the traits of these defensive weapons. All in all, I don't see her wielding some huge, two-handed sword.

Chain-saw nun chucks maybe?
By syzygy caught it quite well, the staff and jutte are much more aligned to Annie's personality. As for being too young to handle weapons, hand held weapons take YEARS of training to learn how to use them well. Most people are taught at a very young age, since thats when a person is raw, more malleable and open to learning new things.
