Alright, now that we have that established, what's with her general look, and eyes and teeth in particular?

Well, that's not at all awkward. But honestly, I don't know how we didn't see this coming. Those are Welsh eyes to be sure.

Alright, now that we have that established, what's with her general look, and eyes and teeth in particular? What are you talking about? Tom just answered: (s)he is from Cardiff. All is explained. No further information is necessary. Not one bit.

Didn't she already state that she was a former animal before Annie asked the question?
The attendant is probably trolling her for not paying attention.

Didn't she already state that she was a former animal before Annie asked the question? I can't find a citation for this, but please correct me if you see something I've missed. Oooh, only four more posts to two thousand! Joining the Fantastic Four who passed that benchmark before me.

Alright, either it's just a non sequitur joke, or snakesperson is taking the piss, or Coyote taught the Court more than just *basic* totem manipulation (nudge nudge ending of "The Great Secret"). That last option kinda makes my skin crawl, tbh.

...or Coyote taught the Court more than just basic totem manipulation. That last option kinda makes my skin crawl, tbh. Why? Feel free to PM me about this if you don't feel like discussing it on a public thread, but it's not unlikely that genetic modification will be a common thread throughout the 21st century IRL. We might as well get used to it now in a webcomic, heh.

"Oh my god, Annie, you can't just ask people why they look like an animal!"

Since it was brought up: I don't think genetic manipulation is inherently evil, but like nuclear technology, and planes, and fireworks, it's only a matter of time before it's used as a weapon. Someone is probably going to make an extremely potent disease along with a vaccine, and use them to control the world. Same with personal computers, the internet, and drones. Think of the devastation that bombers caused in WWII, Vietnam, and other conflicts, and then realize that drones which require no pilot are several orders of magnitude cheaper than bombers and fighter jets. The relative freedom and prosperity that westerners enjoy right now is the exception of history - not the rule. I think it's only natural that it should end. I'm not fun at parties

"But if you're from Cardiff, why do you look like an animal?" "Oh my god, Annie, you can't just ask people why they look like an animal!" Hah! I think she's just picking on Annie like others have said. Might be a rude question to just ask someone (and she probably gets asked it a lot). Or she's some sort of other shape-shifty creature or like Annie (came from a union of different backgrounds). (Also, Tom, if you read this and/or care: the sentence should probably have the comma before the "but." "Excuse me, but..." unless you're using the comma as a pause which I get)

"But if you're from Cardiff, why do you look like an animal?" "Oh my god, Annie, you can't just ask people why they look like an animal!" Just when I recovered from the comic itself, this got me back in uncontrolled giggles, again. So, Cardiff, eh? Lots of snake immigrants in Wales, or what?

I'm not surprised, considering Wales has had a Space Owl as PM since 2005 and is infested with Devil Bears.
