How did you discover Gunnerkrigg? Did you read the entire thing overnight? I think lots of us read the entire thing the same day we discovered the comic A friend of mine got me hooked just by showing me this page: www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=121I went into occultgeekgasmsquee, and had to read the entire thing. And yes, did so in a single sitting. And got others addicted, too. I wish to spread the goodness of this wonderful comic to others. -br

I stumbled across a link to GC somewhere in the depth of this forum thread. That alone was worth it to work myself through that abomination! Yes, of course I read the whole archives in one sitting.

I can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it was either directly from Questionable Content or from a link on the QC forums.

I found it recommended on the Erfworld forum at GitP. GK was already in the 360's by then, so it took me two sittings to read through. At first I thought "gee whiz, another Potter clone". I changed my mind at the point Annie decided to construct a robot to help Shadow 2 cross the bridge. That solution to the problem was so off-the-wall that it made me sit up and take notice. By the time Rey showed up and punched a hole in Annie's ceiling, I was hooked.

A friend of mine on a forum I frequent linked me here. However, 'twas early yet in gunnerkrigg's life, and there wasn't much to read. (Literally only the first chapter was done.)
I found it interesting, but ended up forgetting about it.
Then, a few months ago I was reading through TV tropes and noticed 'krig appearing very often, and in interesting categories, so I went here, recognized the comic, read through the much-longer archive, and became hooked.
I didn't get through the archive in one sitting, since I didn't find the place until late. But I finished the next day.

How did you discover Gunnerkrigg? Did you read the entire thing overnight? There is a forum-subsection about other webcomics at Order-of-the-Stick, with many suggestions and recommendations Not quite, but also not much longer ;D

I found it while searching for more webcomics to read. On giantitp.com there is a comic, Erfworld, which has a similar genre (epic story with good art). I went through the following comics in the same genre before I reached this one: goblinscomic.comwww.feartheboot.com/comic/wayfarersmoon.com/www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.phpMostly I wanted comics to waste time because I get bored waiting for updates. The comics listed are the ones good enough to remember (this one is included). It took me 3 sittings to read through the comic, mostly because I a have to eat, sleep, go to school, and do homework. The only thing I find annoying about this comic is the references (the polish and some of the more obscure lore) are difficult to track on google. But then, that gives me more interesting things to do while procrastinating.

I tend not to bother with obscure references. If they really start having a role in the story (like the symbol for Bismuth a while back) they often get explained and might warrant a re-read of the story so far, which is a good thing. The one exception for me so far was the "Just some things" thing that happened during the summer holidays break, which was basically Tom throwing a puzzle (even if it isn't a puzzle, determining whether it is, is) in our faces.

I found this webcomic through a friend of mine. We were discussing the different things we were reading, and I told her I was looking for some new comics to read, and she suggested this one. I was totally hooked from page 1, and have been following it ever since.

I found it through DrunkDuck. When I started reading there weren't very many pages up, so I assume I read it all in one sitting, I can't remember.

I found it on "the best webcomics of 2004" a while ago. I arrived around ch. 12, I think.

I saw this Flaky Pastry Halloween panel, was vaguely interested in the outfits I didn't recognize, and followed a forum link that identified one of them as "Antimony Carver" - an excellent-sounding name. When I got here I misunderstood the way the archive selector works and thought there were only a few pages, so hey, not much of an investment to read through it all. By the time I realized my mistake I was hookity hooked, and by the time I got to experience Red Returns in real time it was my favouritest webcomic of all webcomics. Yes of all of them.I discovered the court from a thread on the wizards boards (about psionic demotivators, go figure), and promptly read the entire thing in...oh, maybe an hour and a half, two hours tops. I'm now hooked on it like phonix! Yay! That was me! After I got into GC I made sure I posted about it on every forum I frequent (except the webcomics ones which pretty much had that covered). Here is a link to the motivator in case anyone's curious.

Hm? I think this thread was around when I joined, but I guess I never posted in it. =\
The Dr. McNinja Guest comic... I don't even read Dr. McNinja anymore, but I did for awhile there. =P Woo.

I discovered it by following a few webcomic recommendations I read on another forum. I liked the name so I decided to check it out.
I fell in love with the style and the story almost immediately, and I finished the archives in 2 days. Even though I've only known about it for a few days now, it has turned out to be my favourite comic of all the ones I'm following. ^^
