Exactly what it says.Very nicely done. Don't know much about myths, but very nice. The linework-on the Moddey Dhoo in particular-is fantastic.

very cool how all the dogs are there. I've never read a comic like this before.. it makes you think. so many tv shows, comics, books.. they dumb down things.. you make us think and i love that about this comic.

My copy of "An Encyclopedia of Fairies" by Katharine Briggs says that the Gytrash (or Guytrash) looks like a cow rather than like a dog, but maybe it's another case of folklore varying from one source to the next.

Gytrash looks like many things including cows and donkeys. I drew him like a donkey at first and it just looked like I'd drawn a donkey on a page full of dogs.

About the page: I had no idea there was so many. Gurt Dog and Moddey Dhoo both have some very awesome colouring, Lean Dog looks feral and scary.

So are the other Black Dogs guides as well, or do they do other things?

I'm a fan of Gytrash's multiple eyes.
Mezz, why does your avatar ring so many bells within my poor cramped brain?

No idea man. Unless you're a fan of Gileah and the Ghost Train? (I know I linked to them in the music thread before.) That's frontwoman Gileah Taylor in my avatar.

Now I have Led Zeppelin stuck in my head. I love these little things. I'm a sucker for this sort of mythology, and any way it gets tied into the Gunnerkrigg story makes me all squee inside.
