gunnerkrigg court mini city

Hello, I've been bored the last few weeks and I've decided to make mini cities for every one of my favorite web-comics.

To that end I've made "gunnerkrigg" on the website gunnerkrigg.myminicity.com/

if you visit early your notice half the map is forest half the map is plains or grass land almost fitting for this unique comic.

so as people visit this site the picture of the "city" evolves by adding an extra house or street or industry or apartment building. it's all very interesting from a programming look and also fun when your bored.

it takes ten seconds really to click the site to add the person(its auto as soon as it detects the ip addy) then you can go on with your day or look at other "cities"

so far it's just me one tiny house on the edge of the forest.. soon... it will be a city as large as the world... *cough*

usa has it's main city being 319 000 population.

that is all, discuss if you wish and come on by or tell your friends the more the better.

oh and you can only "add" people once a day but can visit as much as you want,.

I've found that a good trick, once the city has come up to size to require additions to the industry and transportation and the like, is to first visit the site by adding /xml to the end of the address. Then it gives a nice little list of what the city does and doesn't have without counting your visit as a hit, and you can respond by adding the appropriate tag and then paying your visit that way to add what the city needs. This is a neat idea for webcomics. Thanks for setting it up!

a few other mini cityies i've made for webcomics at the moment are

questionable.myminicity.com = questionable content, indy music webcomic (i don't listen to the music but its funny)

nastajia.myminicity.com/ = the dreamland chronicles, kid friendly webcomic.

I found the mini city site through webcomic "earthsong" very beautiful color comic.

MY GOD. 50 population in like one day. thats crazy fast. this webcomic has a HUGE following if it's able to grow that fast.

remind everyone that you can visit as many times as you want but the link counts only once a day.

PLUS now that population is 50+ please try to add industry when you can becuase unemployment will start to get bad. to do so add /ind to the end of the website addy. thank you all for making gunnerkrigg a runaway start

well we needed industry

ill change it back just for anyone who likes this to add industry all you need to do is copy paste the website and add ind to the end of the web-addy.

6 pm my time is in 40 minutes about and thats when france is midnight and the "new" day starts and you can add more things to the city if you already linked earlier today.(feb 6)

im really happy seeing the city grow so well so quickly i hope this "game" stays here and everyne keeps enjoying it, you never know we may get to be number one, the game has only been online for two months so anything is possible, tell your friends family, at work if you have internet access (maybe not).

OK well next nuke is a left over from the french version of this game. In france they had the game and people added people in "miniville" but if you wanted to be first and noticed 1st place was to far ahead well you could go to the "antiville" website a matter antimatter style game that once you put enough hits on the antiville game it "nuked" the miniville game. thus killing tens of thousands LAUGHING ON LINE.

it's an odd thing that makes the game more scary becuase you never know when it will hit(well the antiville needed 1000 hits to attack so you never know.

so if you went to another city and asked for the owner to visit your city and s/he didn't well off to antiville you went to say why you disliked s/he so much.

short form: nuke doesn't work in the english version of the game unless one day they add it.
