annie certainly can can read her otherworldly creatures, knows which ones to trust and which not to.
i don't think he created it. my first guess is telling me it's some little demony thing that feeds off the dead in some manner

Between the teeth and the three toes, I don't think there's any way that's natural.
Now that the lizard has done something, I'm actually less nervous about it. Is that all you can do, creepy yellow lizard?

Weird, the lizard thing appears to have landed in the same reality as Annie's, judging by the colour of the wall and floor, which suggests it's not from the kid's psychic landscape.
Had to go back a few pages to check, but the storeroom Annie walks into has blue walls. The kid's bedroom has rust-coloured walls.

annie certainly can can read her otherworldly creatures, knows which ones to trust and which not to. Or maybe she just doesn't like freaky lizard things?

On the contrary, it appears to have landed on the blue floor of the kids bedroom, instead of the gray floor of the hospital. The blue splotch seen around it in panel 6 is hard to explain, but that could just be there for dramatic effect.

Though it's obviously something supernatural it sure ACTS like a regular animal would. "Leggo! No? I'll bite you until you do!"

The mouth kinda reminds me of a lamprey. Creepy, it is anyway. I also think it's just something the boy found, looks about the right age (3-30, that is) to try to catch just about anything that moves. Also, no blood. Might just be too soon to see.

ceezedby -- King Mir is right. Though the walls of Annie's reality are blue... so is the ground in DeadBoy's room. And the lizard landed on blue floor, not the light gray of Annie's world.
You can see the two color schemes at "http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=345".

I've seen teeth like that before. I guess it's a coincidence
