Has there been a thread about this already? If so, let me know. Basically I thought it would be fun if we could all post what our favorite chapter/page/quote is and why. Obviously, all of GKC is awesome, but there have to be some parts we all love more than others. I'll start: For some reason I'm particularly taken with Chapter 14 as a whole. I think the narrative in that particular chapter is exquisite, and I have reread it countless times. The chapter leaves just enough questions unanswered in your mind to make it fascinating, but doesn't keep too much hidden so that it's perplexing. I absolutely love Antimony and Coyote's interactions and dialogue. Priceless stuff, lots of great humor too. I've already quoted one of the best lines in my signature, but I think all of the dialogue on page 16 is great.

I love the page where Kat comes back tanned, and reynardine is on the bed punished and makes a smarky look at annie, who scolds him and gives him another hour. Her expression and kats smirk are priceless.
Kat with a tan is priceless.

My favourite character is, of course Kat. While I can admire a certain cold-bloodedness, I prefer livelier people.
My favourite chapter is Questions and Answers for the flashback. Also, Mort gets some moments here, and I like him.
My favourite quote is, "I like your face!", the best reaction to a god *ever*. Closely followed by "Oh, a doggie.", the second best reaction to a god.

My favourite pages are page 16, which was already mentioned, and this one. I love Annie's reaction.

Chapter 10 was the one that catapulted GC into place as my favorite webcomic. I loved the art and the sudden transition to pulp sci-fi. Chapters 12 and 14 were also amazing for their plot revelations and badassery. My favorite page was [162]. Annie getting detention -- after nearly dying (twice!) the night before -- was hilariously incongruous. That, or Annie's conversation with the Headmaster on [289]. Favorite quote is either "Don't be so cocky. You don't have any lungs." or "She also hates you."Favorite character is Annie. Horse-bot is a close second.

I like chapter 7 best, especially the part after Annie falling into the river. It shows different sides of Annie's character, one of which Muut describes with "still such anger...". I wonder what might have caused that anger and what exactly she's so angry about. Muut himself is a great character too. He has this god-like sovereignty that sets him apart from the other guides/gods we've seen so far. The chapter also introduced the ghost lady, the tic-tocs and the blinker stone. We still don't know much about these three. (The fairies appear in that chapter too, but I'm not a big fan of them.) I think that chapter is always worth re-reading. Also Annie looks better without make-up. The best quote of course is under that comic ;D www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=190"Welcome to sunny Birmingham."

Chapter 7 is indeed awesome, I liked how she was outside the Court and on her own without Kat or anyone. Gave it a kinda creepy, dangerous feeling. Kat's knight in shining armour rescue was also pretty damn cool, as was the Sword Ghost. And yes, Kat with a tan and long hair... please don't remind me. I felt bad all through that chapter, just because she was so darn fanciable

Chapters: "Broken Glass and Other Things", "A Handful of Dirt", and "Dobranoc, Gamma" Page 188, in "Dobranoc, Gamma", Zimmy and Gamma's first meeting. Zimmy's mental white noise, Gamma's effect, the use of shadow/light, the gritty alleyway... Page 93, in "A Handful of Dirt", where Annie suddenly breaks down. In one page her character gets a lot more depth. Page 100, from the beginning of "Of New and Old". For composition and the threatening atmosphere. Page 198, 199, in "Dobranoc, Gamma", the rain's effect on Zimmy. The slightly creepy mysteries that keep us reading. Quotes? "BORING DOOR" Still gives me a chuckle every time I think about it. "and she never saw him again." Bittersweet memories...

Favorite Chapter: Fangs of Summer. For sure.
First good view of Grinny with and without his hood? Reywolf? Brutal fighting? Giant Coyote? Blinker stone? Spankies?
It's all golden!

I would have to say that the current chapter is my favorite...so far, at least.
The interaction between Annie and Martin is absolutely perfect! There's not a false note anywhere. And Annie is the picture of childish innocence and resolute strength. Be strong, Girl! Be strong!

I adore Chapter 6. The mood is innocent and bittersweet, and the colors are just gorgeous. Girls in trees. This comic makes me love the most seemingly mundane things. My favorite page... that's a difficult question. It's tied between Ultimate Schoolboy Revenge on Page 239 (because really, who wouldn't love to do that?), and the spiders on Page 200 (because Zimmy's half-lidded demon eyes and toothy grin are amazing. also: friendship). My favorite panel is probably the last one on Page 46. A little bit of blood really is quite fetching. My favorite quote: "We all eat a handful of dirt before we die, Annie. Who cares if it tastes like cherries?"I just thought it was an incredibly wise thing for Kat to say. It really stuck with me.

Heh, I've actually used that quote in real life. All I've received in return are stares XD And my favorite page is this one, because I'm also a huge bird lover : ) ...and I love how Annie knows the word "ornithological".

I hope you aren't a bird lover in the same way Kat is.
