I never noticed this before, but the white detailing on the blue bits between Coyote's eyes(?) looks kind of like the etheric computer magic that Kat's parents use from time to time. A little more natural and less electronic, but similar. I just went back and looked at the first time Annie used the stone to look at Coyote, and those patterns were there, yes. It was in " The Old Dog's Tricks". Indeed - and there are actually similar patterns in gold on Ysengrin in that one ( #677). I was wondering if that meant something about where Anja learned to build the computer, more than wondering if Coyote had always had the patterns. I don't recall them on other etheric forms we've seen.

Three or more different occurrences, I'd say that makes the squiggles an official representation of etheric energy in the ether. Maybe Annie will use the motif in a tattoo. An etherically styled tramp stamp. Well, even if she did, she wouldn't ever show it to anyone except Kat. And we the readers would only see them talking about it.
