Re-reading 338 today after seeing 339, I'm struck by the last panel. Muut offers Antimony his hand, to accompany him. He already asked if she'd like to come along, but then he follows it up with such a helpful, nonthreatening gesture. I guess that's what you'd expect from a guy whose job it is to help ease the transition to the afterlife, but the fact that he extends such grace and warmth even to non-customers(-yet) speaks volumes about his demeanor. I suppose he would have a way with children, sadly. It makes me wonder why Annie holds a grudge against him.

Probably (as other people here have suggested) she links him to Surma's death.
