Well, that was... unexpected. Kind of an abrupt way to end the chapter, but amusing nonetheless. I hope we'll see more of Red soon, even though the last few pages revealed her to be the comic's biggest bitch.

I was surprised to see the chapter end so quickly, since usually, when a chapter's nearing its end, Tom puts up a link to it on the main page. On the other hand, now that Blue's been suckered into being Red's friend again, the story's reached a logical conclusion. (I don't know if we should feel sorry for Blue or not; anybody who picks her friends purely by hair-style probably deserves to be exploited.)

Well...funny chapter, we spent our time debating highschool girls haircuts and the depth or shallowness of fairies...you know, I never tought I would say that. But it was fun.

This might not be the first time that the comic's cut off a character's use of inappropriate language. I remember some speculation about Reynardine's speech balloon in the final panel of the Bonus Page for Chapter Nine being cut off before it could get to his potential swear words. (If Reynardine was swearing at Annie, of course, and there'd been another panel, it would almost certainly have shown her sternly washing his mouth out with soap.)

From what I can see, his sentence ends with 'imbecilic girl', which is hardly censorship material, but I do imagine he could have followed it up with something stronger. Not quite as much of a joke as the current page, though.

On the subject of off-color language, we can't forget Zimmy: "Rain you bast-" CRACKOOM!

And I do like that Tom has so far limited the use of such language, simply because it gives the remaining expletives a bit more impact, even after being semi-censored.

While Red my have come out on top in short term, she's burned her bridges, and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if that comes back to bite her in the rear. Her new friend is clearly quite shallow, and liable to abandon her again at a moment's notice. And after that lovely goodbye, I suspect that even Annie will be reluctant to help Red again.
