Gasp!Who was the one that said fairies probably have a different way of thinking than humans? I need to offer you an internet.

That would be sebastian.
Although I do know some real people who are like this.

...I love the fairies. If only human friendship was that simple!

Suddenly, my feelings towards Red are less pity, more awesome.
It almost wouldn't surprise me if this was some kind of dream sequence, but there really aren't any indications of such a thing.

It's not a dream sequence.
It's a commercial for CanADay Hair Mousse.
Because hair that sticks up gives you friends.

YES!!! I love to be right. ;D ;D In other news, Hell freezed over. The only way this comic could have been better was if Red went with the Nelson Muntz patented "Ha ha!" ;D P.S. and thank you for the internet, Yin, but as Popo said humans are not so different after all, expecially teenagers and, just to state the obvious, this whole "fairy turned human" thing seems to be a metaphor for puberty.

Scrap my previous ideas, the both of them are still very much faerie.
I still think that Kat can whip a fairly effective Van De Graaf generator, or a plasma ball, that would provide Red with all the lift she will need!
I guess i got myself hypnotized by all those teen dramas on WB (Party of 5, Gilmore Girls, Buffy) such that I was expecting this whole tear jerker warm heartful moment where Red and Blue argue and cry and laugh and all that other stuff. Ugh.
Instead it's the direct opposite! Hence it is awesome. The last panel is sealed in my mind as one of those that gets funnier each time I see it.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
A friend and I were thinking, a few pages back, that it would be such a hilarious, Tom-like subversion if the hair really WAS the issue and not Red being completely batshit.
I must now giggle hysterically in wild and gleeful disbelief that we actually called it.

Hah! I knew it! I totally saw this coming! I was rereading the last couple pages yesterday and I thought "What if things actually go EXACTLY the way Red thinks it will?"
That seems so like Tom to throw a curveball at us like that.

GUYS. Did you see it?! Did you see my comment that this would happen?!!! I said it'd blow all our minds! I'm so excited! I said something and it turned out to happen!
Oh my gosh, I think I'm just going to have to go to bed before I break something.

Of course, it's always possible that Blue is just pretending to be impressed and then will, on the very next page, say something like "Ha! I can't believe you were dumb enough to fall for that!" to a stunned Red.
Since there's no link to Chapter Fifteen on the main page (when one appears, it's a sign that the chapter is drawing close to an end), we're still a long way from the ending, though that's all that I'm willing to speculate on at present.

I was thinking what todd's thinking. Maybe Blue's just being sarcastic because the whole reason she stopped hanging out with Red was because Red wouldn't stop complaining about her hair. Then again, fairies being naturally crazy doesn't seem like much of a stretch...
Re-reading the page... man, if Blue's being ironic there, she's acting better than she should.

The lack of depth displayed by the fairies is highly disturbing. I really don't think they were suited to being human.

And look at her face, it's completely honest. There's no was she's such a good actress, now is there?

You know, I thought the same and I'm kinda conflicted about it. on one hand it would be funny as heck, but on the other hand it would be quite cruel and unusua (for Red, at leastl. And it would ruin the perfection that are the last four panels ("Yor hair!", "My hair!", "I goes up again!", " It goes up again!" ;D ;D. (and if she is faking it Blue is the greatest actress living). Great comic, it really made my day.

LAUGHING ON LINE, so it seems that one of my scenarios took place, fairies keep their social rules, thus Blue woul be friends with Red again...and also a good reason to have all fairies and whatever that takes the test in a different house.
I don't think that Blues is being sarcastic... she's just acting fairy-like...which she still is.
I know many of us wanted to have Red learn a life-lesson and all...but really, if you choose your friends for whatever reasons (music, sports, company, a comic) don't argue with other people choices, in this case, their hairstyle
...and I'm getting to deep here, sorry, gotta go maik my hair all stickity uppity

If Blue really is impressed by Red's haircut, I wonder what will be in the rest of the chapter (as I mentioned this morning, since there's no "Chapter Fifteen" link on the main page, it must be some way from ending as yet). There wouldn't be much story after that (unless, say, Red forgets to use mousse, her hair reverts to the way it was before, and Blue dumps her again).

I think blue's reaction is genuine, but I think Tom still has some depth before we quit this chapter. He could really have his twist and moral too. After playing with us, leading us to look for a friendship moral between red and blue that never came, this twist allows him to examine the often arbitrary nature that holds all friendships together, making Annie and Kat realize the rather peculiar coincidences that have made them close. It would be very interesting if this experience leads them to a deeper appreciation for the way a friendship is a happy thing which just works out.

My whole prediction on the following events might be that the next morning, Red finds that her hair is down again, Blue decides to not be her friend again, Red might get mad at Annie and Kat and either one of them will give a morale life lesson to Red and/or Blue, or that they will just give the can of mousse they purshased (I guess that they purchased) to Red and that will just solve the problem.

O.o That didn't go the way I thought it was going to go, but it's way more awesome this way! I just love the fairies' expressions in the last four panels

If Blue really is shallow enough to only want to be friends with someone with a cool hair-style, then she probably deserves Red for a friend.

I wonder what would happen when some long-haired girl, like Annie or Janet, use a can of mousse on their hair
