Yup. Seriously, QuotePilgrim, stop it. First the Fanart/Copyright fiasco, now this... eyemyself: No, I am not. The opinions I have expressed on this forum on any subject are the ones I had way before I even registered here. And I honestly am surprised at how strongly some people disagree. (I mean, okay, I understand that some would disagree, but it looks like you are getting angry at me. It's hard to believe.) If you just ignored me, trust me, I would be silent. But somehow, you guys seem to be incapable to ignore me (and, to be fair, I am apparently incapable of ignoring you too). I wonder why that is. Also, if you really believe I would not read any scientific studies you linked, you do not know me at all. I am very open to changing my mind, although I sort of understand why you would think otherwise. The thing is, though, I hold the opinions I do because of scientific data. Please, prove me I am wrong. Give me proof beyond reasonable doubt. I would absolutely love it. And no, I am not being sarcastic. fwip: No thank you. I will not stop exercising my right to freedom of speech. (alt text: I can't remember where I heard this, but someone once said that defending a position by citing free speech is sort of the ultimate concession; you're saying that the most compelling thing you can say for your position is that it's not literally illegal to express.) Now, obviously it hasn't reached the point illustrated by XKCD yet. However, this is not a public(edit: publicly owned) space. Free speech means that people won't restrict you, NOT that people will assist you if they disagree with you.

Dear americans: freedom of speech doesn't start and end with the first amendment, and censorship doesn't start and end with direct government intervention.

fwip: No thank you. I will not stop exercising my right to freedom of speech. That's not a road you want to step on. Freedom of speech doesn't mean that a forum moderator would have to allow you to say what you want on their site. While I agree with much of your general stance, you are stepping unfortunately close to breaking the "don't be a jerk"-clause of the forum's rules. Lets just agree to let this topic drop, shall we? Okay, I guess you're right. But I don't think I am being a jerk, therefore not breaking the rules. If I am sounding like a jerk though, I can assure you, it's not intentional, and I really am sorry.

Without burning the edges, don't know, I'm not the one cooking here. But as much as I know, for a fondue savoyarde, you take some fondue's cheese, white wine, you put that in a fondue pot and turn it on, and when it is boiling with large bubbles of delicious cheese, you turn the heat down, you plunge your bread into it, turn it just a little and then you devour it in just a second.

I was thinking use something like a crockpot. Set it low and leave it alone for a few hours. (I like my cheese unmelted and am likely wrong/have no idea what I'm doing.)

Yes because "humor" is totally not a thing that can happen in combination with what I just said. Nope. Never. If it's funny, it cannot possibly be mean!
