So Annie told George and Andrew about Ysengrin's crazisode? I don't quite remember.

So Annie told George and Andrew about Ysengrin's crazisode? I don't quite remember. Wwouldn't doubt it, but I imagine that Eglamore would have also told her. It would stand to reason that He'd give her any advice he had about dealing with ol' Woody there.

So Annie told George and Andrew about Ysengrin's crazisode? I don't quite remember. Nope, that panel is from The Fangs of Summertime, she got to see a crazisode herself. In his first-ever appearance, no less.

So Annie told George and Andrew about Ysengrin's crazisode? I don't quite remember. She's just remembering when Ysengrin got pissed at Annie for giving Coyote a spank for being naughty. www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=282

Must be nerve–racking to shake hands with Death. Ysengrin is a god or a godling but he's not a personification of death in any way, at least not compared to the other characters in this comic that we've seen so far. Annie is more of a personification of death than Grinny.

Perhapes, but it certainly would make the handshake interesting: "Alright Yssy, sit. Now shake. Good boy!" * tosses a treat*

What's more, I think that Ysengrin respects Parley as a person, that is, above and beyond what her position warrants as an employee (?) of the court.
Also, who would win in a fight? I'm betting on Parley.

I usually don't comment to often. I'll try harder. Maybe demon would be better. I know miss Jones mentioned that some call Reynard a demon but it would stand to reason that a lot would call Ys that as well. not as iconic as Death though.

Wow, this event is so formal and welcoming in the forest.
I doubt if it would be the same at the court.
(though I wonder why coyote's not bored yet - where's his schenanigans?)

It's fine, and it would have been a great comment anywhere else. Wow, this event is so formal and welcoming in the forest. I doubt if it would be the same at the court. (though I wonder why coyote's not bored yet - where's his schenanigans?) Possibly our trixter is so calm because he thinks that if he blows this, it will mess up his chances for bigger tricks later. I don't doubt that he can maintain a sense of decorum if Chaos stands to gain from it in the future.

(If protocol requires that you bear no weapons, shouldn't Ys be out of that ballistic tree suit?) It's not a weapon. It's a high-tech prosthesis. *rimshot*

What about you guys?

I think that Parley would win. What about you guys? She is quite skilled, but remember, She is in his element right now. He does have the advantage in that regard. At least, he would if Smitty wasn't there. Eyebrows might have some influence here. Don't know how much it would amount to against a god like Coyote, though.

Nice Annie, not calling her George in front of that crowd. Come to think of it, it seems like protectors are generally referred to by their last name? Thorn, Elgamore, Parley.. It's worth remembering that if Parley and Coyote decide to attack, neither of them will be particularly hampered. I think that Parley would win. What about you guys? She is quite skilled, but remember, She is in his element right now. He does have the advantage in that regard. At least, he would if Smitty wasn't there. Eyebrows might have some influence here. Don't know how much it would amount to against a god like Coyote, though. If something were to happen (seems unlikely at this point but who knows, Coyote's around), Parley is conveniently with the one person in the entire court that can help her bip away to a precise location. Say, the bridge. I'm guessing fight probably won't happen while the safety of the medium is paramount and an out like that is available.

Everything is going so well and logically this is the perfect way to mend the chasm between court and forest. When this goes wrong, which it will because I doubt this is the last chapter, it's going to go wrong horribly.

I just noticed she's wearing the sword's scabbard, even without the sword itself. If that some sort of tradition as a symbol of the whole 'bearing no weapons' thing?

I guess body parts are an exception. I mean, our limbs can also be considered as weapons, no? Also, his 'extension' is mandatory since his original body is too frail for comfortable locomotion, just like how we shouldn't be disarmed (Get the pun?).

When this goes wrong, which it will because I doubt this is the last chapter, it's going to go wrong horribly. Nothing has to go wrong here to keep the story going because the rift between the court and the forest is too great to be mended by a single, positive meeting. It would be a step in the right direction, sure, but nothing more than that.
