It may end now ... ... but I'll go on record wild-spec-ing that this is the scare that had Mort's parents sending him to Gunnerkrigg Court. Hey, ghosts usually have some connection to their haunts. "I got in one little air raid and my mama said 'Mort, you're living with your auntie and uncle in the Court!'" I Pulled Up to the school about 7 or 8 And I yelled to the psychopomp, "Yo holmes, smell ya later!" Then I looked at my grounds. I finally made it big So I went haunting - the fresh ghost of Gunnerkrigg

> Ann is fat > Kat is sentenced to 25 years in jail under National Defense Laws for owning radioactive material > Ysgrin is killed by a redneck big foot hunter Goodness, is that really how you folks see us Americans? In our defense, one of those isn't really accurate, but Ysengrin is toast and Annie is probably eating him.

After you've gone and left me crying After you've gone, there's no denying You'll feel blue, you'll feel sad You'll miss the dearest pal you've ever had
These are some lyrics from "After You've Gone", by the way. I feel like they're relevant.

I'm referring to the sheet of paper - the option "trenc..." is crossed off. Not essential to the story, but an interesting piece of history. The paper's signed by a warden. It's probably not signed by a warden, most likely it's telling him which ward of the city the shelter is located at. A more dedicated person than I could probably piece together whereabouts in London Mortimer lived in based on the ward that most closely matches the half letters we can see on the page.

Coyote on the other hand...Well, the US has a MASSIVE coyote problem. They have adapted to suburbs, especially in the Southwest, and boy are they nasty! Disease, pets eaten, trash cans raided, accidents...Coyote would fall into the category of "pest" and probably be shot on sight. Not that that would probably do anything...

What if we're all being mislead by the poster on the first page of this chapter? What if he's not in London at all, but in Gunnerkrigg court? If he is killed now, it would make sense for a ghost to haunt the area he was killed, rather than somewhere else. And the Court, as a massive institution, would hardly be spared as a target from german bombing. We know there used to be a lot more people living at the court in the past.

I think the second page kills that theory.
"Still waiting" - for the folks to "find a nice safe place" to send him - away from GK?! Does not make much sense.
Also, the uncanny lack of robots in all three pages clearly points away from Diego's haunts.

Wolves are delicious. But yeah, I live in the same neighborhood as a pack of thirty non-reality-warping coyotes. I kind of like them (from a distance), but they're not afraid of people. So I take walks carrying a large copper pipe I use as a bo staff. There are also no outside pets left in the vicinity. Now, having the Coyote in the neighborhood might be interesting indeed...

Really? I've always been under the impression that predator animals are pretty poor quality, gamey meat. It's why I tend to stay away from dog meat here in China. Are you joking, or have you actually had it? You might want to start carrying a weapon with more...stopping power; coyotes are frighteningly smart, they understand teamwork, and you might not be able to fend them all off with a copper pipe.

I was using sarcasm. And trust me, I've had them bother me more than once before. They're not stupid - they don't bother you if you attack them back. Also, they generally don't harass people anyway, but prefer to go after pets on leashes and so on.

I'd imagine it's pretty late in the part of the US you live in...Just saying

Bedtime is an illusion. Besides, if he's in the southwest, it's only around midnight. Not too late for a young man with work to do and a comic update to read!

... I prefer the days when I wake up late, because the update is already displayed. Here, it's 8 AM and I'm awoken since 5:50 AM (... thanks, little boogie alien in my belly), and I have still an hour to wait for the next panel. I'm sad. And I guess I will be sadder (?) in an hour and a few seconds, so that's totally unfair. Yeah.
