Holy Toledo! We can pick more than one?
Far out...
Also, for some reason Kat won both these polls by a comfortable margin. Anyone care to speculate why?

I accidentally voted for "other" twice. But I think that you all would know what that "other" was.

Renard. For one, I could use the sentence “I fell in love with a human female and look where it got me” in almost the exact same context. And Zimmy, though I can’t quite explain why. Maybe it has something to do with me being insufferable to everyone except the person closest to me. I could go on for days about all the ways I identify with Zimmy. She is, hands down, my favorite on so many levels. I am also quite eager to learn more about her and how her relation with Jack develops (if)

But she is very unlike me in almost all possible ways.

Holy Toledo! We can pick more than one? Far out... Also, for some reason Kat won both these polls by a comfortable margin. Anyone care to speculate why? I selected Kat after some thought as my fourth choice. I can't identify with trouble determining my sexual identity (or any other identity really), but I definitely understand the feeling of being treated differently because I did well in school. The only thing I have experienced that could be likened to an identity crisis was due to a related experience. She also has a scientific and analytic bent that is similar to my own, though she is a little more mechanical than I am. I think Kat has a little something for everyone in her personality and experience. She's a solid character.

I picked . . .
Antimony - Outsider with lackluster social skills.
Kat - Smart kid in school, excited about technical stuff.
Zimmy - Mental instability, not overly fond of other people in general.
Jones - Observer of people in an attempt to understand them.
I did not pick . . .
Boxbot - Though I do sometimes - especially today - feel just terrible.

Interesting trend at the moment: Anthony has six votes whereas Surma has none. Any ideas about this trend? (Could it be that being emotionally distant and disconnected from your daughter is more relatable and forgivable than betraying Rey?) None of us are sexy enough

I picked Basil, because I own a timeshare, and City Face, because I am a pigeon.

I am like Kat in my interests (mechanical engineer, ergo geeky - I'm wearing a Firefly t-shirt as I type this)... Zimmy, because...not quite sure...her character just appeals somehow to me. Andrew because I'm just chill like that...and decently good at card tricks. Though, of course, it's not a perfect fit: I, unlike Smitty, am the most unorganized person imaginable. Coyote because he's totally awesome (got to respect that CoyoteReborn guy) when he's not in memory-theft mode (I also once did pretty good fanart of him, the only artistic endeavor of which I am proud - someday I'll post it)... and Rey for the reasons I shared here.

Antimony. She starts out helpful, brave, levelheaded, and socially inept. It’s great how she developed over time. And this of course.Zimmy. She bends reality. She is perpetually miserable. The Headmaster. The biggest riddle of this comic is the Court itself. I have some wild theories about him, and about why the court seems so empty. Skywatcher. Well we share a hobby, and the old warhorse isn’t in this list. Boxbot. I know it’s terrible, but that’s how I feel every time I screw up that bloody language of yours.

As an American, please leave me out of this! We merely inherited the English language (along with unfair taxation and oppressive tea), and seem to be doing our darned best to destroy it! Also, I'm always looking for alternatives, since I hate English more than most people. I like American Sign Language, but it does not have a written counterpart.

In order: Coyote. I want to have fun, and don't really care if anyone gets hurt. Ysengrin. I'm hot tempered, and a bit of a fighter. Jones. I try to only observe things. Renard. Depending on the subject, I can give excellent advice. Tic Tocs. Sometimes I feel I'm just... here.

Is it terrible that I am pleased to see boxbot getting some love? I mean, I know the little guy is TERRIBLE, but I kinda have a soft spot for him.

The young master Jack Highland: I develop obsessions, sleep less than is advisable, got them unhealthy eyes look about me, and I don't hold grudges, but am willing to steal a kiss from a lady that wants to ineffectually exploit my emotions (this actually happened, and I didn't get that kiss either)
Annie: her asocial/stunted social development in particular, her loyalty towards friends as well
Smitface: While my eyebrows are nowhere near as powerful, making things calmer & more orderly is what I seek to do more often than not
Kat: her curiosity about the world and its various component parts, as well as general studiousness, also aforementioned loyalty
Matt: I've been the object of unrequited love three times so far, and I never got better at handling the situation of letting them know that it I'm not the dude for them.

It sounds like we would get along. Also, I sympathize with you pretty hard on that last one. That was basically the story of my life ages eleven to eighteen. I'm still eighteen, but I haven't noticed that being a problem in college yet, mostly because I don't actually talk to people or leave my room.

Damn it, am I the only one who didn't vote for Kat? The way I see it, my case is the top half of this diagram, and everyone else's the bottom.

Damn it, am I the only one who didn't vote for Kat? Well if you are, then that means only 3 peeps didn't vote for Annie as of yet. Kat's probably just easy to identify with because she has so many sympathetic character traits that are well-developed in the story, is nerdy in a way that doesn't insult anybody's intelligence, and uh robots. Edit: It would seem that Keef, Intelligence, ryotnytefall, and eyemyself did not vote for Kat either.

I'm wearing a Firefly t-shirt as I type this Oh! Oh! I just finished watching Firefly on Netflix! I've been waiting for someone to bring it up because I want to talk about it so bad! For some reason I can't watch Serenity though, which sucks approximately three camel dicks.

approximately three camel dicks. Round your figures! Either 2.5 camel dicks, or 3 camel dicks +/- 1 camel dick

Your binary model is a tad over-simplified (knowing how this forum feels about binary categorization, you should have expected this response!). If my identification with Kat were to be characterized by chemical bonding metaphors, we'd better be described as two non-identical complex polymers with a moderate number of hydrogen bonds between us. There is an association due to compatible structures, but we are distinct enough to be easily separable. In any case, I think you were just looking for an opportunity to make a chemistry joke!

approximately three camel dicks. Round your figures! Either 2.5 camel dicks, or 3 camel dicks +/- 1 camel dick Uh, none of those things connect. And for the record, the approximate number of camel dicks sucked by the mysterious sound quality issues that prevent me from watching Serenity on Netflix is 3.25317 camel dicks.
