new comic, yoWow, the Court is pretty rich too to afford magnetically levitated trains. I wonder how deep the court goes.

Annie's comment and Tom's comment suggest that Annie's previous train ride was not so quiet. Indeed the strip that portrayed that ride gave sounds for the trains motion. That train looked like a maglev too, so it must have been moving much faster, and therefore making noise.

In the very same comic you link to, pay heed to Annie's narration: "As the train sped silently along the tracks, etc etc". So in today's comic, this is actually her making that observation for the second time.

What's most interesting about today's strip is that Red knows something about the Court that Annie and Kat don't. I wonder how much else she knows, and how she came by the information.

Red is seeming more and more like a monkey in every strip.
Love the wallpaper. I could not imagine Annie ever dressing like that.

a school with its own maglev train network. along with another maglev train network for private use. what kinda entrance requirement would be needed for a place like that?

I certainly hadn't expected the school's barber to be far enough away that they'd have to take the tube to get there (though nice touch on making its logo a take-off of the London Underground's logo).
Either Red never got any instructions on how to behave properly human when she got her new body, or else she ignored them. (The latter does fit what we know about her.) At least nobody other than Annie and Kat is on that train (as far as we can tell), and they've already gotten used to her behavior.

Hehe, I wonder how Red (Orange) knew that and Annie didn't :/ Edit: on a completely unrelated note, I'm gonna have my neice call me "*Anti Moni" in a permanent homage to this comic when she starts to talk ^^ Geddit? Aunty Moni?

I wonder, is the hairdressers inside the court, or outside? I guess it would make sense that it was inside the court, seeing how they accomodate hundreds of students and a lot of staff most of the year. (All of the year in Annie's case). Also, the Maglev network would have to connect with another station and I don't think the government would be having any of it.

For those who don't know what a Maglev is... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maglev_trainAnnie's comment and Tom's comment suggest that Annie's previous train ride was not so quiet. Indeed the strip that portrayed that ride gave sounds for the trains motion. That train looked like a maglev too, so it must have been moving much faster, and therefore making noise. Did you actually read that page before you linked it? 'Cause she specifically states the train was silent in the bottom left panel.

Aha, interesting fact from that wiki article, the first commercial Maglev train operated in Birmingham. Coincidence?

Yeah, that's what I get for trying to be insightful, without verrifying my facts. Good catch both of you.
