Unless you have one of these I doubt it. That thing isn't a tablet, it's a box. From the specs page: Height 12.2 inches Width 20.6 inches Depth 12.6 inches The depth is only when unfolded, or something. It's an all-in-one, the dimensions are proportional to a tablet.

(with internal battery)" And don't forget the 500GB SATA (5400 rpm) internal hard drive. Like to see how that folds up, too.

It's a touch-screen computer, not a tablet. (Yeah, I know technically tablets are also computers, but hey). Think of it more like a 21.5" laptop; but like a desktop computer, you wouldn't carry it around. As for depth: store.sony.com/vaio-tap-21-mobile-desktops/cat-27-catid-All-Tap-21-Mobile-Desktops (different views), I think they're taking into account the keyboard. Heh, they say it's mobile. I wouldn't be comfortable lugging that all over.

Even a 12" is pushing "mobile".. imagine breaking out something with a ~25" screen on the subway or something. Heck I wouldn't even start using my 14" laptop

It's bigger than a laptop, I'm surprised it doesn't weigh even more. Workstation-class laptops can weigh 10 or 12 pounds, and 8 lbs is tiny for a desktop: the case I bought recently weighed 12 lbs on its own. Also, I meant that the depth measurement is for when the stand is unfolded. In addition, 2.5" laptop hard drives are now available in 9mm and 7mm thicknesses. It's a tablet built to the scale of a laptop. It is meant to be used as an all-in-one, but even though it's not practically mobile, the battery makes it technically mobile, so that technically it's a tablet. You don't call 19" gaming laptops desktops. Even a 12" is pushing "mobile".. imagine breaking out something with a ~25" screen on the subway or something. Heck I wouldn't even start using my 14" laptop That's you. Personally I have had little trouble with my 15.6" laptop in public. Weight is a problem, but my laptop is fat.
