I think it's the larvae that bite. We had about a zillion of them on a porch when I taught a workshop outside in Denton, TX, a few years ago. Mean little bugs, but at least they don't swarm you like bees or wasps. Very independent. Recycled FTW! That's relieving.

I am fairly certain you are in fact the defendant, GK Sierra. It's not my fault! I had to hire a public defender. Should have called Saul Goodman, I'd be a free man right now.

This is really random, and I don't know exactly where to post it, but I was curious about the membership of this forum, so I played with the lists for a couple of minutes. It looks like there's currently about 200 regular posters (posters that have said something in the past week), and 190 people at the rank of "full member" or above. A good number of the "regular posters" (about half) are new members (who might not stick around for long), and a good number of the "full members" haven't posted in a LONG time (months to years). So would a good estimate of the sort of "community" of this board be about 50-100? I haven't done statistics, and I don't know how to play around with the listings more, but I thought it was interesting. The community that talking regularly on the comic threads would have to be smaller: I'd say 25ish just from what I've seen here, but I don't know. Interesting statistics, though.

This is pretty much true anywhere, scaled to the size of the community. At each step up of participation the group gets smaller by about a factor of ten, so there are many more people who just browse casually and read than those on the other end of the spectrum, who post regularly. Well, that threw a wrench in my plans; just noticed that GK Sierra has not technically been online since Jun 1, 2013. ? It's true. I would rather have one that could be pre-programmed then one running on an algorithm, but it is cool nonetheless. Reminds me of the scene from Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow where they find Dr. Totenkopf's skeleton with a dusty note attached that reads "forgive me".

(I usually don't have mush to say, so I just like the posts of you others that I can relate to, so my status is still "New member"... I don't think I will leave this place soon - love your plans and mischievous prophecies that I don't want to be realized, and love to read all of you ! - but I won't post enough to go on full member until a long time, I guess... T_T)
Edit : Oh well, I'm a Junior Member, actually. Great !

I'm not sure if that explains a lot or not. (I usually don't have mush to say, so I just like the posts of you others that I can relate to, so my status is still "New member"... Shame on us who fill the forum with these useless content-free chat posts, and all respect to the real forumer who doesn't post unless she really has something to contribute! You might never become a gunner like us, but it just serves to tell how much more worthy your posts are than ours. Here, my post count goes one up again, and did I actually say something?

Ah, of course not!(unless it bites me, dragonfly bite hurts a lot) .I'm scared of cockroaches, though. One flew in my mouth when I was in first grade. Darn Dragon flies bite? Oh shit. Their typical food is rather soft, like mosquito or butterfly. Then again, they can hold the prey despite pretty good accelerations, so big ones may actually be strong enough to bite far enough through the skin. Of course, jaws are optimized to pincer onto something small, so geometry is a bit off. Maybe into the little finger? Still no idea how you'd get it to bite you, however. Hold the dragonfly with one hand, get a fingertip on the other smeared in some bug, and feed it to dragonfly? I'm kind of surprised that Annie is able to articulate that well. Why not? She is honest with herself. It's not my fault! I had to hire a public defender. Should have called Saul Goodman, I'd be a free man right now. Should have called Abigail DeCarlo. She beat all the Phoenix Wright games... and good at dealing with the crazies, which is more important. Well, that threw a wrench in my plans; just noticed that GK Sierra has not technically been online since Jun 1, 2013. ? It's true. At the risk of being on topic: According to Bob plants are moved to Young's park as soon as the links to the forest are broken. So why is the cherry-tree still in the decon habitat? Maybe this is not the end of chapter. Dragon flies bite? Oh shit. If you are more than a few centimetres tall the risk is quite small. More chance to be bitten by a pigeon.

I think it was 1996 or '95. Chilling on a middle school playground with my good buddy Zane. We were playing around with each others names, making up more and more ridiculous crap until it didn't even sound like the original. Later I asked him if he could make me an email account, and that is what he came up with. I thought it was the most original username in the world until I found out like 5 other people in the US have used it, and so does this one dude in China who shares my first name. Then I had to start changing the last two numbers everywhere I went because one of those 6 people had gotten there before me and already created a tattat44 account. Eventually I just switched to a different username that was less common. This forum account is a holdover from that era. I guess there really aren't any truly original ideas. Hey, that actually wasn't a long story at all.

Maybe this is not the end of chapter. I wonder about that myself. Robot's tree arm was placed in decon sometime in Annie's year 7, then it was deemed safe and moved to Young's Park before the residential in year 8. Decontamination took about a year. But the cherry tree has been in decon for at twice that, and still isn't ready to move. Maybe it's been there even longer. Looking at the big branches of the cherry tree, they seem to be arranged like the fingers of a hand—it's possible that it, too, started off as a tree-arm. Meaning it's been in decontamination long enough to grow from the size of a human arm to a tree large enough to support two year 7 schoolgirls in its branches.
