Because I'm a spy for Gillitie Forest and want to bring down the Court! Nyahahahaha! *ehem* Did I say that loud?
More or less on a whim. I wanted something abstract but yet meaningful, which every reader of the comic recognises. Since I reread everything when I found there was actually Gunnerkrigg Court on the web (I only knew the Hardcovers before) it caught my eye. And btw Gotolei: I wanted to have bits of horizon for relation and perspective. ;-)

Oh yeah, that text-thingy... I should get one of those. Out of curiosity, why did you take the forest symbol as your avatar? Out of curiosity, why did you take the Eaglemore/Beacon symbol as your avatar? 8/10 for AVT; 6/10 for SIG, the quote doesn't really that much for me unfortunately. :/

I was scanning the archives to find a good forest symbol image for a project I am working on, and saw the symbol, thinking "that belongs in an avatar." I don't figure anyone on this board will recognize my quote, but it is only right that it should be my signature. It's related to a very specific part of American Boy Scouting that I have spent a lot of time with. If any of my friends were on this board, it would be pretty obvious to them who I was.

Waaaait a second. Why does Eaglemore use this symbol when summoned by the Beacon? gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1083

Do he? He what? Do he reference? What is reference? WHO WAS PHONE Does he (she?) entitle me to quote his (her?) phrase in my personal text box. This was not a difficult reference, just follow the discussion one post up.

What is a naruto reference? The negative introspection is strong with this one. Thank you, Obi-Wan.

Then who'll be Luke, and who'll be Vader?

Then who'll be Luke, and who'll be Vader? Oh darn, hadn't thought of that, as that was just an instant reaction to show that I did understand his Star Wars reference - but my choice of jedi for him seems to make me Luke in this equation. In aftermath, his words would have best fitted Qui-Gon Jinn in relation to Anakin, which would have made me Anakin and thus eventually Vader. But it may be too late to change, for a second time and all. So, I have no idea who's Vader of this equation, but Crater's effort to pass me an obscure and strangely worded message that I stubbornly refuse to understand, might be enough to make him (her?) Yoda.

thshrkpnchr Avatar: I interpret it as five nails about to be driven into your head. A little creepy, in my opinion. But it is good to have a simplistic image, easy to recognize, as an avatar. 6/10. Avatar text: Oh, are you now? :-) Rather funny. 7/10. Signature: Truly fun stuff on the web. I didn't explore the page for long, but I give it 7/10 anyway.
Also: Name: 9/10. A bold move to have a name without vowels. In my mind, you will always be "the guy who's named what, now?" :-) Is it a short form for anything or did you fall on your keyboard?

Unless it's lemon sharks - we [native] Floridians punch those for stress relief while the snowbirds look on in horror. Purgatorius: AVT: Ooh, a nobody. Really cool edit of the default, but not very eyecatching, namely because it's an edited default. Doesn't mean I don't like default edits - I like this one enough to give it a shockingly high 8/10! SIG: True statement (attribution always gives points), but no other content. 5/10 TXT: No content. 0/10 EDIT: NINJA'D BTW: scores are low because I don't overrate stuff. I've never given out a 10/10 except for one hilarious world salad - the sig was a list of images of handwritten words that the user changed every time he logged in to add or remove words to create some other sentence that seemed totally random and hilarious. Since it was always changing, I always thought it was a script, but no, they did it manually and very regularly. Incredible.

I would prefer to not have an avatar image at all, but that wasn't an option in ProBoards, i think. So when Sierra posted this one in the "default avatar guy" thread, I thought it was as good as it could get. If I can't have 'nothing' as an avatar, at least I can have 'nobody'.

Au, that's where my invisibility cloak is. A gold cloak of invisibility? Shiny. If it were gold, it wouldn't be invisible, now would it? It'd be silvery transparent on the inside and invisible on the outside. One must be careful to leave it the right side up, or you'll likely have trouble finding it.

Yeah... dying in an invisibility cloak would stink. Though according to the fairy tale of the three brothers, I wonder if that he could live forever under that cloak?
