(the random thoughts keep happening) Those shelf things in the background, like that one that Kat's sitting on. How does Rey get from one to another? The chances are that they are completely stationary platforms. They're easy enough for a large canine to hop onto to check the upper shelves.

Not quite as much fun to think about but yeah. I guess even they did give him trouble, he could probably just pop into a form that has stronger legs or something. Perks of the condition.

I imagine he jumps around on them - like shelves for cats. Hey, even medium dogs are plenty agile! This one's a Weimaraner that looks like it's flying

And this turn of their chat is exactly why that decision to lure Renard into the Court was, ahem, less than insightful.

Also, in the flashback of Surma and Reynard, didn't we see both of them levitating?

Ah! Very good point. We haven't seen his use of this ability since Antimony came to the Court, but there is no reason to think he has lost this power.

That is a fantastic gif! "Oh hell no, I'm not jumping this. WE'RE GOING THROUGH! AND I'M TAKING THIS WITH ME!"

The direction it takes is chosen by Renard. See the last 2 panels. He could, for example, reassure Kat reminding about what Annie herself is and what she does, given whose reaction worries her the most. Or say something along the line of "Building a hoverbike from repurposed crystallizer to search for your friend? Having a thing for avians? Scaring people with deep-etheric vision? Hmm... This stands out a little, but don't worry, it's almost normal here." There were many possibilities, but Renard seems to prefer pondering aloud over rather specific themes. Do you think it's something poor Jonathan would approve?

Three things: 1. That is one smart bunny! 2. Where is an accredited couples therapist when you need one, and 3. Has anyone given a thought to how Paz is handling the dawning ramifications? I think we might meet up with Annie *next* friday.

Kat has Rayonard, Paz has her rats. Close enough, right?

I think we might meet up with Annie *next* friday. Point Two! I must say, Lindsey has been absent from the story for quite a while and her presence could do some good. Maybe that is where Annie is now, sitting by the moon pool having a discussion with her about all this. I am calling that as my guess, unlikely as it may be. As to point three, I think Paz has already done all the thinking and worrying about the ramifications she needs to.

Aside from the fact that you literally can't get to Rey's room without passing the moon pool, it's a decent theory.

...time to go reread and pay more attention to that lay out. I think there's an extra with the map of the dorms or something?

The moon pool is sort of the entry lobby to the entire dorm system. I thought is was more of a side room to the entry. I would still like to see Lindsey play a bit of a counselor role here somehow.

[ 867]* Renard and Lindsey seem to get along well (makes sense I guess, both have etheric presences), and Rey spends a lot of time in the dorms. Worth noting? Perhaps he's picked up a few counselling tips, or is etherically communicating with her to help with this exchange. *Edit: just noticed the "10 meters" .. American spelling? Was Lindsey given a computer with EN-US autocorrect or something?

But Annie could drop her blinker stone into the tank (from the bridge to the elevators, without going down to the moon pool), go chat with Mort a bit, and then etherically go to where the blinker stone is and talk with Lindsey underwater. I bet Lindsey would get a kick out of that. It isn't often one of the students literally comes to her for a chat, or that she's able to talk with one of them without that keyboard.

She's still wearing a thong (presumably with blinker attached) around her neck at the end of the last chapter. It's not something that's easy to lose.
