I kind of just like plain old PazKat. It reminds me of the word biscuit. Mmmm. We should start calling them Biscuit.

Art in this one look different to anyone else? Might just be me, and I'm not saying it looks bad, but anyone else think it just looks like there's something different here from usual? I don't think the art itself is actually that different but the way the setting is drawn seems a bit new. The court seems a bit more "normal" than usual to me in this strip. The hallways are well lit and colored in natural tones rather than the dreary purple and gray. Also, everyone seems to be dressed more casually than we've seen in the past. I've been wondering about that. The Court has been steadily growing less dark and foreboding. It may be a visual metaphor (as the characters learn more about the Court), an art style change, or a completely unintentional occurrence.

It may be a visual metaphor (as the characters learn more about the Court), an art style change, or a completely unintentional occurrence. More importantly, this looks like a mundane school building, not one of those bizzare creations of metal and stone that most of the Court consists of. I'm guessing that this building is a more modern addition that didn't grow from the Seed Bismuth, but was built normally for some reason. I kind of just like plain old PazKat. In Finnish that is one letter away from "well, shit".

Well that sure is a joke about the Holocaust.
Hey folks, did you notice that Annie's wearing slim-fit clothes with matching ballerinas, whereas Kat's sporting a new outfit altogether: casual Space Channel 5 t-shirt, cargo pants, sneakers? I've been rereading the comic from the get-go lately, and it's nice to see how their wardrobes change over time, but certain preferences stay (Kat wearing different scarves, and Annie always opting for long sleeves, for example).

Someone mentioned the color of the walls... last time I remember seeing walls like that was in Ties, but the entire chapter had kind of a sepia tone to it. Read the whole chapter just to see if anything matched... I'd wonder if they had their picture made, but the old photo seems to suggest that those are done in-uniform.

Kat ist ein Roma, so weiß ich nicht, wie glücklich der Führer wird darüber sein. 1. Kat ist eine Roma, also weiß ich nicht, wie glücklich der Führer darüber sein wird. 2. DUDE... Oh, yeah. Tom's has nice consistency with outfits. How about Bionics for a couple's name?

The art does look a bit different. Or the feel. I'm guessing it is intentional since Tom doesn't seem the type to do that randomly.

Probably got tired of the gloomy vibe and decided to show a different side of the court. Either that or they have finally gotten around to maintenance. Kat ist eine Roma, also weiß ich nicht, wie glücklich der Führer darüber sein wird. Danke, meine letzte Deutschen klasse war lang vor. Mein grammatik ist schlecht.

...wait a minute. Kat is Romni? "Of Romani ancestry" would probably be more correct - clearly she doesn't follow a traditional Romani lifestyle, and would thus not be considered a "true" Romani by those who do. She might self-identify as Romani but as far as I know the comic has never touched on the subject.

Paz's top is the same as one of Saukra Matou's from Fate/Stay Night. I wonder if that's intentional. Either way, it's very pretty and looks good on her.
(warning: Fate/Stay Night is a NSFW visual novel and extremely inappropriate for minors)

WoT are you talking about??? Also. I get all my information about the characters only from within the comic, so I had no idea about Anja's descent. Is there some interesting in-depth info somewhere I'm missing, or is it some brief post from a Q&A by Tom?

(warning: Fate/Stay Night is a NSFW visual novel and extremely inappropriate for minors) Probably not intentional, then. It is a good look, though! Also, I definitely agree with the comment on the newness of this building. It looks like it was built 10 years ago, tops. Kinda weird for the court!

Well, the anime adaptation of Fate/Stay Night is not at all NSFW and removes some of the themes that make the work... adult. I love how Tom addresses even the minor details, from the conditions of the buildings to the evolution in the characters' wardrobe.

Is there some interesting in-depth info somewhere I'm missing, or is it some brief post from a Q&A by Tom? Try the Gunnerkrigg wiki! That information is in Anja's character section. I think Tom told the fans on the forum or on Formspring some time ago. Be sure to check out the "Word of Tom" section. It's a collection of Q&A with Tom. Very interesting.

Oh Paz, you darling. You just get better with every appearance! (Also, talk about great taste in Video Games! UuU)

For the art: I notice the school looks kinda different. But maybe that's just me.
Portmanteau: Maybe Pazerina? For Paz+Katerina. I don't know how good that sounds, but it flows well.

Lighting differences might just suggest that the Court is getting some spring weather.
Something I just noticed: the cover page for this chapter has a certain similarity to the one for chapter 32: From the Forest She Came

I think maybe it just looks brighter in the school because this is earlier in the morning than we usually see them there, the sun is shining right in the windows. Normally mornings are spent in their dorm which is pitch black and under water.

I imagine Ysengrin would kill at Dance Central. Pun intended. That's not a pun, that's verbal irony.
