Well, of course - with Kat and Paz on one page... all it needs to present danger of immediate brain melting are those two.

What Paz said about worrying for a few months is exactly what I suspect Kat has been feeling for the last few months. I suspect that might win her over Weekend cliffhanger! Now I just have to wait for the next Paranatural to come out and my week has gone well My take on it was "But I thought you weren't like that - huh?

This requires memory beyond one page.

Clearly Tom's author Avatar is Zimmy because he draws himself like Zimmy. Writing Zimmy is the only way Tom can communicate the pain of being periodically transported into a twisted shadow world against his will.

Well, we all knew that already. But not the only way - Tom also publishes a webcomic in that twisted shadow world.

I can't take Paz seriously. I don't know what it is. Could be the whole "Dora the Explorer" thing or it could just be how she acts around people she fancies, but every time I see her I expect hilarity.
But this page.
I am seeing Paz in such a different light now. Brave, for one thing. And so gosh darn adorable.

Interesting. I see Paz as a mix of technically competent (tending to Cityface in 'A Bad Start') and socially naive (gauche overtures to Matt, jumping to conclusions in 'Faraway Morning'). Kat's orientation has been an ongoing tease since 'A Handful of Dirt'. Paz's 'forwardness' (as Tom puts it) is surprising (and, as you say, brave!). However, it makes sense if she's viewing as an experiment to see what happens. This might also appeal to Kat. Kat might also look at the held hands, see another inspiration for robo-mech and rush off, once again leaving poor Paz thinking '..lindas..'All will be revealed... (will comments to ep 1202 be labelled 'Meanwhile, back in the stairwell?')

I read through the whole thread, and after someone mentioned treatise 5 I decided to look at all of the treatises. I just noticed that in Treatise 4, Kat is holding two pinkish doves in her hands and they are snuggling. Maybe it means something???

Birds can mean women, and birds usually (I think, but not always) have different markings to differentiate between genders. Yea, I think so... Looking at the treatise nearly everything there has been answered, except the birds

I thought Tom said those two birds represented Parley and Smitty.

I thought Tom said those two birds represented Parley and Smitty. That's possible, maybe, but why is Kat holding them? We'll see in a few minutes

That's possible, maybe, but why is Kat holding them? Why not? Kat holding the bird suggests she's neurturing it, in that all Kat did was drag Annie away (at which point they were pretty much together). The first one was just her teasing Parley

Simultaneously nurturing and neutering? Edit: Actually I think it looks like she is either showing or handing the birds to someone.
