Tom said once (back when he still had that day job with the VG company, IIRC) that he couldn't fundraise on Kickstarter because, if the funds were raised, he would inevitably fail to deliver on the promises he made.

My time is pretty hard pressed with work these days but I get down with League of Lengends when I can, fix cars for my friends and volunteer my time for my flatmate, who is a primary school teacher.
If I had the time I would take on a serious project car and get back into guitar and drawing but c'est la vie...

I have just discovered a European graphic novel series that seems interesting to me and I think might be interesting to other GC fans. The name of the series is The Obscure Cities (well, actually, Les Cités obscures; it was originally written in French). A book from the series, The Leaning Girl, has been translated into English and the translator, who is also a publisher, is trying to get funds on Kickstarter to get this book printed. The art is wonderful and you might call the genre philosophical steampunk with a strong architectural slant. You can see the Leaning Girl Kickstarter project, read about The Obscure Cities on Wikipedia, or read a short introduction to the series on a fan site.

Fun? No, not really, a thread like this is almost mandatory for any webcomic-related forum. It's a good way to find new stuff one might like however. A kind of distributed last.fm for webcomics. Actively following: A Redtails Dream (It's good. Really, really good. Somewhat similar to GC) Unsounded (thanks gcforum, just had an archive binge) Questionable Content Prequel (and I've never played TES) Not following actively: Subnormality Lackadaisy Digger (ended?! more like... oh wait nevermind) PHD (ceased?) The Phoenix Requiem (ended; maybe I'll finish it someday) Inhuman (ceased) Dreamkeepers Dresden Codak (ceased?) Terinu (ceased) Death and the maiden (ended) Look at things positively — I've had a good laugh!

Also, a friend of mine writes a webcomic called Six by Nine, where readers determine where the next panel's going to go. Rather random at times, and not quite Gunnerkrigg quality art, but still an interesting read nonetheless, and engaging because of the chance to solve the problems as the characters. Check it out! Also, it features a Coyote as the main character. Lord Coyote approves.

This seemed like the right place to put this post: I have been archive bingeing on Girl Genius today, but did you know there is at least one direct reference to Gunnerkrigg there? I was extremely happy to see this when I was reading (look at the pink sign)... And sorry if this was already known.
