Early update. You know the drill.bnmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm That was my jaw hitting the keyboard. As if zombie Headmaster wasn't already too awesome. EDIT: The last panel suggests either another change of scene before the end of the chapter, or a voiceover à la the chapter 9 ending.

"on occasion".... o.O
ROFL
i love how she pauses to think about it first.
also, i think that's a closing page - for the chapter and possibly the second volume. in addition to the last panel that just seems like a great line to end on ;D

It doesn't have the "end chapter" symbol, though. Generally on the last page of the chapter Antimony's symbol is in the corner.
Reynardine laying behind Annie like some sort of pet puppy surprised me! That sort of seems out of character. I'm sure he has his motives. Such as "Man I'm tired. I am going to drop to the floor right here. protecting little girls from psycho tree wolves is hard work!"

Personally I think he's really overstating the risks of giving Coyote spankies.

Are you forgetting that if Coyote returns the favor, he'll be about ten times larger?

Well, that's figures. Considering that Janet acts like she owns the place, it's not surprising to find out that her Dad is head man. Now don't forget the lessons from the last comic, people. Tom likes misdirecting our attention, so that we don't notice important details like three specks being tossed out of one hand while the other hand turns into a stretchy wooden spear intent on impaling our young protagonist. I bet Tom laughed at us for hours while we went nuts over that spear hand. Quietly chuckling at our foolishness and muttering, "it's the SEEDS you fools! the seeds!" As Jones said in the last strip, it was a "transparent deception", which clearly means that Mr. Siddel is mocking us! With that in mind, it's time to go back and scour each panel for clues to make sure Tom can't trick us again! Do you want to end up clueless and bitter like Parley? No! So let's get to work people. There's probably some random bit of crosshatching in the background of some panel that's actually the key to unraveling the whole mystery of the Court! Hahaha! Actually, all kidding aside, I did notice that the ragged, red tapestry in the background behind the headmaster is the same as the one in the last panel. Which seems to me to indicate that someone was up in that window watching events unfold from the shadows. I think we're supposed to be obsessing about Reynardine playing protective doggie around Annie, while the real clue is the red tapestry and the dark window. Someone's up there. Who could it be?

By the way, the chapter just went up on the archive list (with Coyote's cave-painting profile). Which means that if this strip isn't the last one in this chapter, it's probably wrapping up soon.

Count me as another person taken aback to discover that the Headmaster is Janet's father.

Egads. We should have realised. They have the same eyes.
Wonder what he thinks of Winsbury?

Dunno. I feel that Annie just earned a spot as a medium.
And by the way everyone treats Annie, it seems that Surma and/or Anthony must've been of some importance, in the past.

He is the father of Janet? Well.. I'm surprised to say the least I'm not, given Janet's status as one of the scariest children on campus. =D

Haha, I second todd's earlier statement.
I wonder if Headmaster has any questions for Annie?

Dunno. I feel that Annie just earned a spot as a medium. Well, as pratchett would say: I think she more like a "small". Whatever the case, this story is filled with character that are unpredictable with cryptic undertones that pique my interest without actually being TOO cryptic. tom seems to promise that almost all mysterios figures are given at least a small amount of interesting story.
