I'll happily delete this thread later. I just came over here to check on things, as I am about to get an actual professional grade microphone soon. My mic broke some time ago. I just kind of wanted to see how things were progressing, and if they aren't, if there's anything I can do to help it along.

I got a new mic recently as well, to replace my awful plastic one.
As for the project, I don't recall anything major happening for a few months now. There have been a few new volunteers. An animator too, if I recall correctly...

Still here. But since everything seems a bit dead, I've only been checking up once a week or so.
My old computer decided to up and die on me, so I think I lost everything I previously recorded, along with the notes I made of Casey's directions *sigh*. That's what I get for not backing up...
So, is the one currently in charge still alive?

Well, in about a month or so, my hardware supplies will definitely be stepped up. Any day now, really, I may come into possession of a Blue Microphones "Yeti", and, once the new semester starts, and I get my financial aid, I'll be stepping up my computer to something much more powerful, and made with entertainment in mind. I may try my hand at assembling the next chapter, if we need someone to do that. As far as directing goes, I don't know about that. I've never directed anything. |

Meh this waiting is just boring me, look I have a editing program of high enough quality (Sony Vegas), if someone provides the music I will basically have all the starting items, along with the voice acting for the next chapter that I think is already provided, and could probibly do it all in a half hour or so. I used to use the program when I was in journalism, along with in a few videos I work in now. I have organized enough in the past that "directing" is not needed.
Though I would request that everyone slanted for chapter 2's voice acting re-verify that they want to keep voice acting just for convenience sake.
This is taking to long for me to care who is actually in charge, I will just get it done and then post the result.

Please PM me the best recording you can take of your parts as soon as possible, as I doubt most people view this forum much as its so inactive and slow to actually do anything (they tend to look at the other side of the forum), I ask that anyone who knows these people on another site, alert them that as soon as I can get the lines needed I will start and likely finish on the same day I get the lines, if you think the lines you put up for audition are good enough and you covered them all, just say so.

All I need is Basser, I will give it 4-5 days (it's already been a week or so, so I am giving plenty of time) and then I will just hunt for their lines but I might just open auditions so that I will be able to get someone who will react well enough when I move onto Chapter 3.

Fun fact for why after trying to rush everyone along, and then suddenly going silent!
See, power outages do not exactly cut off the energy automatically like many assume, no, before that happens there is one last powerful burst of energy, which is why we have protection for such things...thing is I may have been to lazy to buy such a thing and well....my computer's motherboard was roasted. Since I am at collage for a bit I decided to leave this little message that until October I probably won't be able to do squat, as I only just recently got enough money to get a nice new computer.
Yet another reminder for everyone to always get protection!
On the positive, while I did pretty much loose everything, technically it was mostly prepared, and still exist in one forum or another, so I will be able to do it not long after I get the new computer running.
But if someone else happens to have a video editing program, it might be best for you to take a wack at it. Considering how long its been.

I've had similar experiences in the past, so now I'm always checking my feet to make sure my surge protector is on. Oh zolen... that sounds awful ! I'm glad you got your mitts on a new computer though because no computer is awful . Uhm, I have to admit to dumb shenanigans myself. See, I had finally gotten some time to record lines. I wasn't happy with them, so I decided to record them again at a later point. Of course, attempt number two was done when I didn't have a lot of time to pick out the bad parts, so I just kinda left that for another time. But I have three mics attached to my computer and the dumb thing of course keeps forgetting which one is which and decided to record attempt number two through the craptastic build-in mic... I think you can guess what I'm feeling right now... I even had a rather good sounding 'EEEEEK!!!' too . And that was the hardest part ._. BLUH! |
