There's been a fun webcomic tournament going on for a while now, which Gunnerkrigg had no trouble winning so far. But it's now pitted against penny arcade, and will probably lose if we don't spread awareness of it. Vote for it and see the rest of the polls here!

Unfortunately Penny Arcade has a massive readership. What Gunnerkrigg has in quality and depth, PA has in surface-webcomic readers (xkcd, VG Cats, etc.). No hard feelings towards PA, though. Edit: I spoke too soon! As of this post, 706 to 701 in PA's favor! So close! Goooooo GC!

839/847 in PA's favor!
Please ask people to vote on other websites you surf. Facebook/deviantart/youtube/whatever, man we are so close!!

I voted on my iPhone, my parent's computer, and my computer, AND posted about it on FaceBook. Obsession, or dedication?
PA's still in the lead, but only by a few votes!

I voted at the library earlier today, and I'll add two more votes tonight when I have access to our other computers.
IRONY: Tom doesn't care about this or TWC, but his obsessive fans totally do. WE CARE BECAUSE HE IS TOO HUMBLE TO CARE.

Voted for Penny Arcade.
It's a losing fight guys. This is a popularity contest; nothing more. Both comics are great at what they do.

You're completely right, I give up.
Not. But thanks for the pessimism.

Voted on the home comp. Unsure if I should drive over to the library to vote there.
Ah well. At least we know GC is better.

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised that GC has done this well against Penny Arcade so far.

There's a hundred vote gap now but seriously, this is PENNY ARCADE! GKC is holding it's own against one of the most popular webcomics in the whole of the internet, that's pretty damn cool. Keep rustling up votes people, I'm not rolling over and having my belly tickled by Gabe and Tycho when I could have Jones and Eglamore

So Andrew of MSPA just plugged Gunnerkrigg on Tumblr and I guess he broke it with his giant fandom. Yay? Edit: Wow, that was pretty cool actually... How we had pretty much the same post at the same time

Looks like GC is winning right now! (Probably thanks to the MSPA plug)

Gunnerkrigg Court is beating Penny Arcade? Never would have predicted that.
Unfortunately if it gets to the final rounds it's probably going to end up against xkcd or Homestuck, which might be a trickier proposition. Lots of people read PA, but I think those two have more rabid fanbases.

Gunnerkrigg is in the lead with my vote as the 6673th over Penny Arcade's 5668. That is 1005 votes more for Gunnerkrigg. I'm hoping for GKC vs either XKCD or Romantically Apocalyptic... which Gunnerkrigg Court hopefully wins.

Looks like GKC will win this round, may even make it past QC (we have more total votes in this round than QC), but then we will get crushed by MSPA. Hopefully this will serve to increase GKC's readership though.

Those are separate brackets. It'll be against Questionable Content, and then Homestuck, at which point it'll lose. But still.
Gunnerkrigg vs Homestuck.

Yaaaaaaaay!
We're nothing compared to the rabid fanbase of HS, but still, good job beating out PA (even if Hussie helped out).

It's nice that Andrew tumblr'd about it, the plug might mean a rise in ad revenue as well if it brings a lot of new readers in!
I get a little twinge in my heart to see that Achewood was taken out in the first round, though. Lie Bot, what is the saddest thing?

If Gunnerkrigg wins against QC, if I read the initial post on this site correctly, that means Tom will be the winner of his division (initial grouping of 16 webcomic he was in) and thus he will still win $25!

As if Andrew Hussie wasn't already cool enough, he went and did that thing.

I see Gunnerkrigg's currently beating QC by a nose. Let's go ahead and do this (and make this happen). That other webcomic is lousy these days anyway.

I like QC too, but GKC wins in terms of art, story, script, just everything. QC is good but GKC deserves to win this round. Keep voting folks!

Wow, Girl Genius is really holding its own against Home Stuck. I tried to read that comic once, but couldn't get into it. But that's simply amazing!
I like QC for what it is, a "slice of life" comic, but I met the author once and he was... Well, kinda a jerk. Not that he has anything to do with the comic, but... yeah.

Girl Genius is nice, but suffers from a number of narrative problems (overlong story arcs and so many side-characters-that-are-actually-important that I really started to confuse some of them at some point).

I can't wait to vote, the site is down for me right now uuugh.
Gonna probably vote for Girl Genius on the off chance it beats out Homestuck. If that happens, all the Homestuck fans will vote GC.
And then Tom will rule all.
