Do we know who the headmaster/mistress of Gunnerkrigg is? Have we seen them at all?

Is he (?) the one in the chair on this page? He looks like he holds a position of power in the school. If not the headmaster, perhaps head of the school governers? |

Also, whatever happened to the bloke on this page? Doubt we'll ever see him again, just assume he's a random teacher-figure since it was so early in the comic. But I wanted to say "bloke." |

Well, he could be a teacher, but to me he seems more like a Butler. Of course, knowing this school, his postion may any number of things.

I guess it's the guy in the chair, judging by the way he's greeting the General in today's strip.
