Antony shows good judgment in phoning Annie rather than coming back to the Court to meet her face to face. He's in danger of Kat clobbering him with a cricket bat for abandoning his daughter for two years (if she hits an actual Guide for letting down Annie on the night of Surma's death, what hope does a human have of escaping her wrath?).

Antony shows good judgment in phoning Annie rather than coming back to the Court to meet her face to face. He's in danger of Kat clobbering him with a cricket bat for abandoning his daughter for two years (if she hits an actual Guide for letting down Annie on the night of Surma's death, what hope does a human have of escaping her wrath?). A cricket bat? That's not in character at all - Kat isn't Alice in Wonderland here. But yeah, either she would try to beat Anthony with a spanner or something, or these two would start tiptoeing awkwardly and Kat would give them an evil eye and demand a proper family reunion. ;D Which probably is why this didn't happen. I have a feeling he's going to launch into whatever he wanted to say without so much as acknowledging that it has been two years of now contact. Maybe... Come to think of it, we don't know details even about how he used to "vanish". |

I hope the comic doesn't miss the opportunity for Kat to build some sort of robotic emotionally-unavailable-and-absentee-father-correcting machine. Nothing as bad as Eva, as Anthony isn't yet in Ikari Gendo's league, but perhaps some sort of automatic Dr. Phil or a giant Boxbot with Steve Wilkos' face. |
