or, 'It's all yer fault!' Well, Parley probably wanted to go home. But I find it VERY intersting that she knows exactly who Antimony and Surma are. Oho! www.galleries.com/minerals/sulfides/stibnite/stibnite.htmUnliekly that the theories about them being head boy and head girl, though they do still seem to be VIPs. (My argument being that wouldnt both of them have to be in their top year?) Also, this is the first time we've seen other students, but it seems to be more common as you go up in years.

And now we know what year our new friends are.
Smith seems like a bit of a downer--he hasn't stopped frowning yet. Maybe he's just tense from hanging out with Parley.

Arabian Swords! Mmm. Wykkid bitchin. (A QC nod, for those of you out there who read it)
I'm glad we get to know Surma's maiden name!
I like Parley an' Smit already. They're perfect foils for one another. But...are they a couple, or just good buddies? Hmm.
EDIT: Phor, I think he's just serious. Probably a default look.

Somehow I can't see Annie giving a full, clear explanation of exactly what happened. She almost certainly wouldn't do it for a teacher, and what's so special about Parley?
Also, I suspect that if she'd known much about Anthony and Surma, she would have known that Surma was recently killed, and not mentioned her to Annie. I'm not sure even Parley is that tactless.

It is pronounced Par-lee. Like Charlie. Something very strange is going through my mind now . . . "Par-lee? Par-lee? Par-lee? Par-lee? Par-lee . . ." "I'm right here, what do you want?" "Annie fell off a bridge, Par-lee!" Very sorry if you don't get the reference . . .

Well, like Mrs. Donlan and Mr. Eglamore, she's right about Annie being responsible for this meeting, but wrong about *how* she was responsible for it. (That is, the evidence so far is that what set the chain of events leading up to this meeting was Annie sending Robot across the bridge into Gillitie Wood, rather than her running out onto the bridge a few chapters later - that was itself a consequence of the same initial event as well.)

Stibnite=antimonite? Huh. So Surma passed on her maiden name, of sorts.
EDIT: Checked out Wikipedia and found
which I suppose *could* be interpreted as stibnite is the parent of antimony, which is pretty cool. Tom, you rock!

Stibnite is beautiful: I haven't been this anxious for updates since chapter 8! I love Parley, she reminds me of... me, ;D And now we know what year our new friends are. Smith seems like a bit of a downer--he hasn't stopped frowning yet. Maybe he's just tense from hanging out with Parley. Man they are an item, I know it. Smitty is totally p-whipped. ;D

Ooh yesss.
Hey, maybe Smith or Parley's parent(s) were friends of Surma and Anthony. They needn't have been in the photo.

Parley is hot. "In depth story discussion!" One remark does not a discussion make. So um... yeah.

My2k's picture of stibnite crystals reminded me that I took a picture of some antimony in a museum in London:

Parley looks like my older sister.
I hate Parley.
But Smit is cool.

Maybe Surma became something of a legend at the school. Eglamore did say she didn't always follow the rules... And maaaaaaan Parley has big hair. It is pronounced Par-lee. Like Charlie. Something very strange is going through my mind now . . . "Par-lee? Par-lee? Par-lee? Par-lee? Par-lee . . ." "I'm right here, what do you want?" "Annie fell off a bridge, Par-lee!" Very sorry if you don't get the reference . . . That took me an embarrassingly long time to get, but it made me laugh.

Ah man. Eggie and Riess are totally right.
And I didn't get the Candy Mountain reference until someone said it, which is embarrassing.
