Watching those two just sit and hang out is way cuter than when they were attempting to flirt.

Stairs are always a good place for talking.

Hmmm.... That puts the prank in a whole new light; if she felt that she needed to express her anger at Jack, perhaps that implies that she was aware of how stupid and destructive those emotions could be.
I could be wrong though (I almost certainly am... I always am.)

Ah, the wisdom of Jack. The more I see him, the more I like him.
And I love their positions...they look very comfy xD

Ysengrin is now Annie's friend and role model. How far we've come.
It's a pity Jack wasn't at the meeting between Ysengrin/Coyote and the Court. If he had been, Annie mentioning offhand her friendship with Ysengrin would probably manage to successfully shock him.

So, he wasn't kidding? Huh. I'm afraid, even " sandbag you completely" somehow falls short of this. "That guy"? Doesn't look like Eglamore to me. You know how hard he can be to recognise The master of disguise. Ysengrin is now Annie's friend and role model. How far we've come. How much this explains. ;D Waiting for more of Ol' Grin's wisdom.

I love how they're just lounging around as they talk. They look so comfy.
Then again, i just love lounging around like that myself.
EDIT: Also, Jack has attained a perspective that many adults still have difficulty with. Good on him.

So now her previous craziness makes sense, she was acting out because she had repressed all those emotions and they just all were thrown at poor ol Jack.
And glad that Antimony now has a friend that is a boy (well she confides in him.)
poor old Chuckles, feel more sorry for him now.
that's a lot of poor ol folks.

One reason people are attracted to other people is how they (the attractive) make them (the attracted) feel about themselves.
Over the years I have noticed many people I know have hooked up LTR with or married people who have a similar quirk or foible, except worse, and that seems to be a selling point. To put it another way, One's bad points are as big a reason as their good points when it comes down to couples "working" together. Here are some real-life examples.
Bad at math? If you get with someone who's worse you can feel much better about yourself. Not good with keeping your place clean? Marry a complete feral and you can chide them about their slovenly behavior. For bonus points, get sympathy from your neighbors about how you have to do everything around the house. Not good with tools or fixing things? Trouble reading directions? Hook up with a person who has to call a professional handyman to oil a squeaky door hinge. Are you overweight or otherwise nervous about your appearance? Date [or just stand next to] worse. And God help us, if you're a drama queen find yourself a bigger drama queen to marry. When you're apart you can hit your friends up for sympathy and when you're together you can bitch and moan about things in unison. A person I know from college found such a match. Now they go forth making anyone they come into contact with miserable, particularly waitstaff. However, they themselves are perfectly content.
Finally: For those who have issues, find someone who's issues make your issues look small. That way you'll be "the sane one" or "the stable one" by comparison.
So: In spite of his insightful-for-his-age talk, Jack may be a bit young and unsettled yet. Not to discount the effect of the spider-whisperings on a vulnerable Jack, but accessorize Jack [even Spider-Jack] with a Zimmy on his arm and he automatically becomes the put-together person. And probably some other stuff too. ;D

Say, is that a black circle on the front of Jack's shirt? Did he always have that? Hmm.
Also, I dunno, imaginaryfriend. You make a perfectly valid point about certain people, but that's selling Jack himself a bit short, I think. He's just made a very mature observation about dealing with one's emotions, and he's already admitted that Zimmy is a force of nature...hardly an "accessory". If anything, he seems to be overlooking and defending her problems, not hoping they'll offset his own. He may have some issues here, but hoping she'll smokescreen his own slight unhingedness doesn't seem to be one of them. : )
(Honestly, I'm not surprised he's got a crush. Zimmy, soaked in the rain, with that confident and surprisingly sane grin and those beautiful red eyes of hers on display for once, effortlessly smashing the spider that had been possessing him? I'm a straight female and I think I fell for her a little on that page. ♥)

Say, is that a black circle on the front of Jack's shirt? Did he always have that? Hmm. I think it's the buzzer. They fade in and out of view, for some reason, and I occasionally worry that they've lost track of them and will be caught, but they show up again. ♥) Yes, she's a real cutie when she's not terrifying. :)

Say, is that a black circle on the front of Jack's shirt? Did he always have that? Hmm. I believe that's the bug-thinger, you can see it more clearly here in panel #6. Though since Zimmy had a circle on her shirt it'd be very interesting if he had one too. [edit: Whoops, ninja'd.] Also, I dunno, imaginaryfriend. Aha, but how does Antimony change how she deals with Jack when she figures out he's serious about Zimmy? She looks concerned about him in panel 4 in #930 but before that she was trying to hurt his feelings on purpose. Would she have made that reveal of her real motives on the next page if that hadn't happened? Would things have gotten uglier? Maybe, but I think it would've been much harder for the conversation to tack in that direction. the positive direction that it did. [edit2] What I was trying to say here was that Jack has already gotten a payoff from Zimmy's bad point(s) in the manner that I described before, and as far as we know this is the first time he's even told anyone that he likes her. [/edit] Regarding accessory: Sorry, I don't mean to trivialize Zimmy's problems by my word choice. I was just trying to be clever. By "accessory" I mean Jack placing himself in a context that would change how he appears or thinks about himself without changing anything meaningful about himself. Honestly, I'm not surprised he's got a crush. Zimmy, soaked in the rain, with that confident and surprisingly sane grin and those beautiful red eyes of hers on display for once, effortlessly smashing the spider that had been possessing him? I'm a straight female and I think I fell for her a little on that page. I semi-agree to the extent that I was surprised by the negative comments from guys. I was briefly contemplating posting a rant about the virtues of "dating the weird" but decided to hold off until the next time the forum gets stuck on lesbians. To punish the forum. ;D
