As you might have heard in "I'm going to have to step down" Miri sadly had to leave the GKC fan project, meaning the project is at a full stop. So we set in a little bit of a problem... So I ask, who would wish to lead? Do you think someone of this forum might be good at helping this project move along? If you want to throw in your hand, throw out your name, if you know a guy/girl who you think would be perfect for the job, say their name (it would be nice if they were relatively active in the forums, tend to have a lot of good ideas and have some good leading/decision making ability, and the details Ulysses will explain bellow.). Depending on how this goes and how fast this forum tends to move (most people only show up when a new page is posted) at about a week or two we can see who out of the volunteers and suggestions we have and set up a poll/vote. Lets see what happens and get this awesome project going again!

This is what Miri had to say to me about her role as Director and what she saw as the next steps:
"As director: I worked with voice actors over Skype and through email and guided them on how I wanted their lines delivered, to best mesh with the other actors and convey the story.
As far as near future: I have a vocal tracks for each page other than 13 and 14 (which were mostly sound effects, Robot, and Shadow 2, if I recall) and I was playing with how the sound effects sounded."
Just so the next director is up to date with how things stand at the moment.

I would probably make a pretty good voice director if I was really motivated to work on this whole project. As it is, I wouldn't really want to take on that much responsibility, and would probably muck things up a bit.
I am certainly willing to be of assistance to anyone willing to keep in contact with me about goings on in the project, and I know quite a lot about quality voice acting, so I would certainly enjoy helping out. I guess I'm offering myself as assistant director?

Hm, I imagine that would be the choice of who ever is chosen....assuming anyone else offers, I am going to have to randomly pm people who seem active on this side of the forum or something, I am not sure if it's that nobody wants the job or nobody is noticing the post. :/
If nothing works I will see if anyone would be fine with me being it (I was going to offer myself to the voting pool anyway) *shrugs*

Ulysses, Miri and I are currently working to finally get chapter 1 done. The audio WILL be published within the next two weeks.
For the future of the project, I was thinking about decentralizing the whole production process. Maybe using a wiki and soundcloud as a platform. But for now, I'll focus on getting ch1 out.

Well that's proof that two (3 if you count Miri who said she is stepping down) are still active, what about Sandjosieph? I don't think I have ever seen him, yet he/she is listed for music.

I'd hesitate to nominate myself as director, though I think I do qualify. I've had plenty of experience making radio dramas in highschool (yeah, it was a weird highschool -- it was specialized in Radio and Television) so I know my way around sound editing and video editing as well. My only responsibilities right now are a three-day work week, and two roleplaying blogs on Tumblr. However I usually have connection issues so Skype would give me issues every once in a while, and I'm also quite forgetful so I would need someone to pester me on AIM or Windows Messenger. How about if we decentralize things a bit? Instead of having a director we'd simply have teams working on the aspects of the project (Voice, Sound, Video, and release). Just an idea. If y'all still want to have a director, and think I qualify, then I won't say no. I really do want this project to remain alive!

Yay, we have someone interested! ;D How about if we decentralize things a bit? Instead of having a director we'd simply have teams working on the aspects of the project (Voice, Sound, Video, and release). Just an idea. If y'all still want to have a director, and think I qualify, then I won't say no. I really do want this project to remain alive! I've been thinking about that as well...we could have a main person for each team. The only thing is I still think we need someone to look over the voice acting and make suggestions, since none of the actors can hear all the parts at once.

Yeah, there should be a main person giving input on the voice acting. And actually, I think we should find a way for the voice actors to record together. There's a certain something that happens in the actor's inflection when they are replying to someone else instead of just reading the next line in a script. When I did the radio dramas, we'd always have actors recording together, and if that wasn't possible then we'd have one actor record their lines, and the other actor would listen to them as he recorded his. It helps give it a lot more authenticity.

Hm, there are probably programs that would be able to record conversations between to people on a messenger if we look around that would allow them to do something like that, they would just have to give it a second or two between when they read the lines and when the next person reads theirs so it is easier to edit later on for who ever would be using those voices.
