I'd have to vote for Kat, 'cos she's adorable. ^_^ Okay, seriously, she's the most three-dimensional of the cast—she expresses the broadest array of emotions and has shown the most personal growth, especially in "Broken Glass" after she saves Annie. The illustration of her in the first panel of 101 is wonderful. Her crush is communicated so perfectly.

Robot and Mort are quite possibly my favorite characters, though I've had a crush on Gamma's character design since her first apperance. ;D It's so hard to beat Robot though! Sweetest bot on the planet!

I think it's a testament to Robot's character when I assumed something was wrong with him before I even examined his arm or noticed the fact that his speech bubbles were different from before. Nope, Robot is special because the red flag for me was when he didn't call Antimony "mommie".
I was like, "Oh yay, Robot's back! Wait what the quark? He didn't call Antimony mommie! And his arm is a tree and his speech is all funny!"

Reynardine. I dont think hes THAT much of a bad guy. i think being trapped in a toy has made him less hostile.

I seriously don't know... I like all the characters for a lot of different reasons...
Annie: Wha'ts not to like about her? My favorite part about her is that she can see ghosts and the heralders of the dead...she's just an interestingcharacter.
Kat: Bubbly, spunky, scientific...the perfect friend for the ultra-serious annie to have...she makes an awesome supporting character.
Gamma: Her name is awesome, and she's very...dreamy... we havn't seen much of her, but I like what she's becomming.
Zimmy: To tell the truth, I just love her character design. Her black 'no eyes' and her wild hair is absolutely completely awesome.
Reynardine: Because I have a feeling there's more to him that one would think...'My poor surma' being one of his quotes...
Mort: Haw...he's got a crush on annie!!! <3 ---
The rest are also awesome...the only character that i really just thought, I don't like him, was Mr. Eglamore. He's annoying. I agree with Annie.

I find him intriguing, but the part that makes me most suspicious towards him was his rather cynical tone in Chapter Nine where, as he hands Annie her detention slip, he comments that what she did wrong was not breaking the school rules, but getting caught. Small wonder that Annie seems far from pleased in her response!

I dislike eglamore because he obviously doesn't like surma's choice in husbands...and I find myself trusting Surmas choice rather than his.

Anja is easily my favourite, although I'm also a big fan of Antimony (aren't we all?). They're all so very interesting though, I can't think of one character we've met so far that I wouldn't want to find out more about.

I dislike eglamore because he obviously doesn't like surma's choice in husbands...and I find myself trusting Surmas choice rather than his. I really want to know the backstory for this. It seems obvious that Eglamore and Surma were very close, but we know practically nothing of what happened between them, or where Anthony comes into the picture.

missushow, I think Eglamore is a bit jealous.
I suspect there may have been a (failed?) love triangle going on, and I DON'T mean that in the dirty way.
In addition, it wouldn't surprise me if he held Anthony at least partly responsible for her death, but that's just a hunch at this point.
In other words, I think Eglamore has his reasons for being cynical, and they're probably good ones.
We'll find out in due course, I'm sure.

I like Eglamore and all, but he is a bit of a jackass. The whole love-triangle may be very accurate, but then where does Reynardine come in?? love Quartet?

Eglamore comes across to me as a bit overbearing, but not really a jackass. Do you think that just because he gave Annie detention?

Maybe not jackass, more like over-concerned uncle, who once had an affair with your mother.

Ok, back on topic, this is my Total Overall Rating for most characters.
Annie Kat Shadow Mort Reynardine Weird chick with Sword Gamma Zimmy Eglamore Donlan's Muut Suicide Faeries Bit Characters'
And theres not a lot of difference between all of these, think of them as Heap Memory rather than Stack Memory.
[/offtopic] These kinds of threads are best posted in once or twice, in this case because I wanted the first one to have my FAVORITE character and this one to have a list of all of them. Try not to go off onto other tangents- starting a new thread is not a crime!

Maybe not jackass, more like over-concerned uncle, who once had an affair with your mother. Laughed out loud to that (but will not write LAUGHING ON LINE). Anyway, your lists both horribly misplace Muut (in my opinion, of course) toward the bottom of the list. There is something about his character, especially the extreme formalness, and the fact that he can turn his head around, that I really like.

It seems that Mr. Eglamore liked Surma and that, at some point, Surma may have liked him, too. He probably blames Anthony for her death, or for not taking care of Annie after Surma's death.
Annie reminds him a lot of her mother, it may be the cause of all his bitterness towards her.

I really, really hate to make YET ANOTHER comparison to Harry Potter on this, especially since I get so angry at the over-popularity of the books/movies, but Mr. Eglamore reminds me of Harry's Dad. You know, the whole "we would have done it at our age and not gotten caught" type. The "break the rules, come on, we would have. Just don't be stupid enough to get caught." It's annoying and overbearing, and it's the reason I have put him where I have on my list. The reason he's not lower is the whole freakin' awesome dragon slayer thing.
Kat Annie Mort Zimmy Reynardine Muut Shadow2 Robot Gamma Winsbury Janet Mr. Eglamore Anya Mr. Donlan Paz
This is not to say i don't like Paz. I like her alot. But I like her alot less than I like, say, Muut alot. You know.

My favorite has always been Kat. As someone else described, she seems the most three-dimensional to me, or perhaps the most robustly emotional. She seems like the most fun and like a person that everyone would like to know or be friends with. Plus she likes cool things like Batman, Hellboy, and Mulder. I'm all for that. I like Annie too but she sometimes comes off as too unemotional/controlled to me, and the amount of stuff she can do (all the things that make her unusual) seem a bit too much to me sometimes. She doesn't come across as a Mary Sue particularly (because Mary Sues are basically wish fulfillment for authors, and she clearly isn't that) but she is the most unusual of an unusual cast. She doesn't seem like as real a person and I can't always relate to her. She's someone I identify with as the person the story is happening around, but Kat is just so much more personable to me.

I get the feeling Reynardine didn't love Surma like that. I honestly think, purely out of speculation, that Reynardine isn't a demon, but rather a creation. Maybe even an alchemical one. Surma might be his "mommy", and he might have tried to take over Antimony out of spite, like a jealous illegitimate half-sibling. But now I get the feeling he might be getting attached to her, with a grudging sort of respect. Which might be why the teachers thought it was very Surma-like of Antimony to protect Reynardine from them, as Surma may have done such a thing in the past.

And it might again, explain the reasom Eglamore dislikes reynardine, Surma may have loved reynardine, a "measly" creation more than Eglamore the PE teacher/dragonslayer.

I was actually thinking it might be more like Egy hates Rey because back when Reynardine was still just a humble creation of Surma's, a string of events occured that basically culminated in Surma's degenerating condition which may have indirectly been contributed to by Reynardine. These events might even have been set into motion by Anthony, directly or indirectly. Sivo's possession might even have been one of the end results.

What makes you think Reynardine is a creation of Surma's? That doesn't even make sense, because it seems to me that Reynardine acted like he loved her, not worshipped her.

So? That's what I'd do. I don't believe Reynardine is truly a creation of Surma's, but your argument is a bit flawed.

I <3<3<3<3 Gamma. She is awesome and amazing and sweet and pretty and quiet.
Mr. Eglamore is probably my least favorite character. He just kind of bugs me with his attitude towards Annie (what other people have hypothesized about his past with Surma seems a probable cause of this).

Ya know, it's probably because so many people have been knocking him that mr Eglamore is my new favorite character. I usually find that characters you initially dislike actually have the best development in the first place, seeing as how they have so many flaws for you to be critical of. Makes them more interesting once you realize it, eh?
So Eglamore's my favorite now. THEN Robot. Who I still want Annie to get Kat to rebuild.
