Very interesting page... A lot of answers that create so many questions.
P.S.: May be in next page Annie will be turned up into ether by this sleeping condition?

Ooh, is the next page going to be a dream or something? I would like that.

Hm... "...but it's not over yet. " Will Tom show to us something else amazing or that could blow our minds? P.S.: May be in next page Annie will be turned up into ether by this sleeping condition?

Interesting thought about her having a dream. Possibly something that will help her get over the situation with her mother? Repressed memory? Maybe an etheric message left for her if she found out.
On the other hand, I foresee Annie asleep, and Ysengrin taking her to the edge of the forest, and handing her over to Jimmy to take back to the court.

I agree with you there, nobleman, I think it is a possibility that he will return her.
I would like to see her peer into the ether in her dream state, though. Remember all the beautiful colors she saw when she first used the blinker stone?

Regarding the dream theory, Tom's comment makes me think Annie doesn't get to rest just yet.

That makes me hope for pages full of forest creatures to feast my eyes upon sometime in the future.

That makes me hope for pages full of forest creatures to feast my eyes upon sometime in the future. This is the first thing I thought of after reading this page. You can easily imagine a panel or two where she's sleeping and a ton of them have come out of hiding to get a closer look.

I wonder if she's going to try to peer into the ether to get a look at them all? Or are we going to see another Surma flashback? We started with one, so I wonder if the chapter will end with one? I'm excited for Friday, whatever it is!

Personally I find that after a bunch of angry drama it's pretty easy to just fall asleep. And Annie's looking pretty comfortable where she is now.
I think we might get treated to a page or two in the ether of inside Annie's subconcious before she's roused by Coyote's presence, or Annie might just end up conversing with Coyote in the ether entirely. Either way I'm sure Coyote's going to pop up at some point.

I could even see her "waking" etherically, and watching the forest creatures (and perhaps even interacting etherically with them) while her body is asleep. Now that would be an interesting way to walk the boundary between the dream world and the waking world!

That would be pretty awesome. I can just imagine all these odd creatures coming up and sniffing her and Ysengrin just being all ":I"

I'm surprised that the forest creatures would be scared of Surma's daughter.
Perhaps Ysengrin's word isn't entirely reliable in this matter.

i don't blame annie for falling asleep; man, ALOT of crap happens in this chapter... and the faerie of the forest i wonder what they all look like, faeries do only let you see them when they want to be seen.

Perhaps they were scared of Surma for the same reason, or perhaps they don't associate Annie with Surma.

Seems like their fear of the Court overrides their interest in the daughter of someone they considered to be pretty okay.
What I'd like to know is whether their fear is because of recent hostility between forest and court (perhaps there was some kind of blow-up over the whole Renard situation?) or if it's just tradition, you know, the mama creatures tell all the little baby creatures that if they don't behave Boxbot will come and get them, even though no one's seen a Boxbot in centuries and the grownup creatures are pretty sure they're not even really real, and then the baby creatures grow up to be terrified of anything that comes out of the Court (because it might be Boxbot in disguise).

There's something to that... the forest folk were told not to go to the river and so they didn't. If they were told to avoid GC people, they'd do that too.
The unknown part between Surma being a forest friendly medium of the court and Surma leaving the court never to return (or even contact Anja and Donald) may have something to do with this.
Something made Ysengrin don his wooden apparel, something made Surma leave, something made Surma leave James and something made Anthony go with her.
Something = Remains to be seen

...perhaps they don't associate Annie with Surma. That would be odd since they apparently have the same soul, or however that's supposed to work. Which raises some questions: -Can all denizens of the forest perceive the ether like Coyote can? -Is Annie noticeably "the same" as Surma in an etheric sense? I notice that while Annie's hair seems to be infinite in the ether, the same was not true of the only other human we've seen in the ether; Parley.

We've also seen Anja in the ether... And while her hair did get an upgrade, Annie's was much more voluminous...
You know, this makes the whole 'Your HAIR! It goes UP!' thing make a lot more sense... Especially if the faeries have the same etheric sensitivities.

My 4-month old son took a header off of a table today while our babysitter was watching him. My wife and I were both pretty far from the hospital he was at (I was 45 minutes, my wife an hour). When everything was done and over, my son is slightly bruised, but not broken at all, and upon arrival at our home, after my wife fed our son...she went and took a nap for over an hour. Yes, extreme stress == need for sleep.

Very little of what I've seen of Annie says "she would never hurt them." She's clearly willing to " hurt a fly", if it advances her ends. And she'll go for the below the belt shot, or throw 200 feet of fire at you, if she's annoyed at the moment. Maybe if "never" means "for the most part, unless I was in a bad mood or got defensive, or got really mad, or needed to get in touch with Muut again".

Annie isn't lying: she believes she would never hurt them. I would never harm a forest creature but I'm willing to kill a spider or a fly*. Does my willingness to kill a bug mean I will harm forest creatures? As for causing forest creatures emotional pain.... I think for most of them, this is a moot point. *I do feel bad about killing the bugs though... usually I'll try to catch them and let them go but if not, I'll swat them.
