Ah, yes. It is true. I have joined. Er... I'm Heltec (Or Hammerfist0, Pick or choose), and I... am probably not that interesting. I'm a Game Scripter in RL, and making Video games, while it sounds interesting, really isn't that much so.
Yup. Thats me.

Hey, i'm Scott, nearly 22, from Glasgow in Scotland.
Been reading Gunnerkrigg since about halfway through "Mainly involves Robots" since Tom did the guest strip for The Adventures of Dr McNinja. It made me laugh so much i had to investigate his own comic and i fell in love instantly.
Being a master procrastinator i often get distracted from whatever university essay i'm writing and end up reading webcomics. I also enjoy Rice-Boy, Qwantz, Dr McNinja, Minus and Dresden Codak to name a few.
I'm meant to be writing an essay on the causal theory of action right now (i study Archaeology and Philosophy at Glasgow Uni BTW) but i got distracted by this forum.

Hi everyone, I'm a long time reader, but hadn't joined the forums yet. Obviously I really enjoy the comic. I love the style and tongue in cheek humor.
Gender: Female Age: 26 Favorite Games: Too many to list. RPG's, Animal Crossing Favorite Court character: Other than Antimony next is Reynardine for me. Favorite movies: Pirates 1, Meet Joe Black, LOTR, ... again far too many.
I also wanted to mention that Gunnerkrigg has been reviewed on Alpha Shade in their Alpha Rant section, they break down the comic and talk about the art and style. It's always nice to get some free advertising I say. Just do a search for Alpha Shade on google and you'll find them.

we have a topic about it. it was a very good and indept review. not for everyone though i imagine, some dont have the attention span for it. I liked it, but then ive listened to a quite a few audio books from stephen king and anne rice novels, so the length was nothing compared to that.

heh, yay for introduction thread! May as well tell y'all a bit about myself as well.
Real Name: Megan
Nicknames: Yue-chan, Yuna Jr., Twinling
Age: 23
Gender: Girl!
Favorite Games (board games, card games or videogames): Tetris, Dr. Mario, Pokemon
Favorite Court character: Eglamore!
Favorite movie(s): Watership Down, Rambo, The Quiet Man, The Dirty Dozen, Vantage Point, Blood Diamond, Phantom of the Opera, and Chronicles of Narnia
Favorite book(s): Anything by James Rollins and Clive Cussler. I also love The Dragonriders of Pern series (only the ones written by Anne herself, Todd McCaffrey can't write for beans) and the Acorna Series, and The Heralds of Valdemar and Joust series by Mercedes Lackey.
Finally, tell us a little about yourself: Well, to start off with, the two nicknames "Twinling" and "Yuna Jr." stem from the fact that I am, in fact, and identical twin. "Twinling" is something my sister and I call each other, and "Yuna Jr." is the name I was labeled with by my sister's friends, as her nickname with them is Lady Yuna, and they were greatly amused when she found out she had a twin. I'm something of a shy person, and more than not I tend to lurk and observe things rather than actually get out there and talk.
I love to write stories, and participate in NaNoWriMo every year. I also enjoy knitting, and watching anime/going to conventions.
there's a little bit about me. nice to meet everyone here!

At least this isn't 4chan. Now, what could that be described as?

Post by popo on Mar 18, 2008 5:24:25 GMT
there is a good word to describe it, but people who do not know that word will look it up, and that would never end well.
